As a less than top 10 guild I've instructed my members not to use any gems this war; We'll just be getting what we get from being active. All I can do is encourage other GMs to do the same until the rewards for 11+ start to look better than odder. However I'm aware this is unrealistic as this whole game is funded entirely by human ego, I'm also aware 90% of the spending is done by the top 10 guilds anyway. But hey if you don't try you definitely won't succeed

We aren't spending any gems either, but we have never been a gem-spending guild anyway. We're going to do our best and see what happens, because there's minimal difference between rank 101-250 and rank 51-100.

We've discussed this in our guild, but seeing as we really want to prove we can break Top 50, might spend a teensy bit, hah. Only a few members really spend the gems, and I coordinate declarations. I feel like they definitely could have done better with the rewards. It's terribly frustrating to see everything past 10th ranked receiving the same thing.
