Last monsters not dropping right items

So I've noticed lately that a lot of the higher up levels aren't dropping the correct items when you beat the last monster with a power up. For instance, about 5 times now Misty Marsh has dropped Hydra Scale instead of the Wiggling Roots... Wtf is this?

It has always done that. Hydra scales are the normal drop where roots are a special drop.

Oh I see. So Caballero Desert and Misty Marsh both drop Hydra Scales?

Even the secondary stages drop materials from previous ones For example Cabellero Desert can also drop Dragon Scales.

Lucky factor. At the beginning, the first six stages, drops the right items everytime you do special attack(ecept the stone scales from medusa). From. The cascades and up, you cam get the right items or the items of one tier down.

You can look at all the possible boss drops at the summoning stone.

This includes all the stage bosses you have beaten, and all epic bosses you have beaten.

All stage bosses beyond the Faerie Forest have s second, lower level drop, and also at Skeleton's Tomb.

Another way to look at this is to say that all two-element Stage Bosses have a secondary drop.

Try the valor difficulty, you'll get the right drop WAY more often.
