View Full Version : Income should be determined by where your buildings are placed

I have been taking a look at my hood recently and have realised that Gree should modify the IPH output of buildings to reflect where they are placed in your hood.

For example lets say you have a house next to a techno club. The people in the house are not going to be able to sleep at night and will quickly move out so therefore you wouldn't make any money from the house being placed there.

Next you have the new LTB the bloody barber shop that sells harvested organs from unsuspecting people. The pirates tavern would be the best building to place near it as intoxicated people would leave the premises onto the streets and could easily be abducted and taken into the building for organ harvesting and wouldn't be able to put up that much of a struggle. Of course over time the patrons of the pirates tavern would wise up to the fact that this is occurring so you may need to switch over to the sports bar and switch them around every month or so.

If the circus, ice cream shop and carousel are placed within close proximity of one another they could all make huge profits as it would be a great day of fun for the entire family. Then on the other hand if you build the adult toy store next to the church then both buildings would have very poor income produced.

Gree, the people have spoken. Please implement these changes to the game ASAP!

You'd also need to have the meat factory close to the bloody barber for best results surely ;) and some restaurant, which can be personal choice.

I have already acted on this thinking a few days ago by locating my No Interest Savings buildings to flank my Casinos :p

Good point, the meat factory or the crematorium would also make the bloody barber more profitable, however your suggestion of meat factory and fancy restaurant would indeed be the best combination.

good idea but the only way this would happen would be if they froze where your buildings are and it cost gold to move them :p

Now that is a great idea. I was thinking of putting my underboss house near the collection agency and cowboy casino and regular casino nearby so that the underboss can keep the loan sharks in line and speed up their collections from all the gambling degenerates that frequent these establishments.

Would you demand for some more cool decorations? I sent them a mail with some attachments a couple weeks ago. They didn't respond yet so I think they're not interested in working on graphics. Their existing graphics sucks too. :p lol.

Why indeed not! A lot of the LTBs have been map buildings made available for building by players, so there's really no reason the same could not be done for decorations too. Allow us to colour the building areas too so a nice green park could be created, for example.

Why indeed not! A lot of the LTBs have been map buildings made available for building by players, so there's really no reason the same could not be done for decorations too. Allow us to colour the building areas too so a nice green park could be created, for example.

Exactly and some sand too whilst they are at it. At the moment my beachside inn is at the top of the map but there is no beach. You may ask why would a beachside inn not be located by the beach where it belongs?

You'd need a beach extension for that I guess. One exists in the maps though. Same for docks and stuff.

There's some hugely imaginative players out there. If all options were open there's no telling what could be created by them.

I demand decorations. Cool ones. :) also how about a small pond? Like at the ends of some maps. We can create a mini beach river lake. Place some cars in hood. New statues. ( statue of liberty) next ltb can be leaning tower of Pisa. Eiffel tower. Or some other cool stuff?

Exactly. The older Gree games have paid off their initial investment, and I think a good portion of their profits will go towards development of new games. Just about everybody in Monster Quest has drifted over to the new Dragon game, and I imagine many of the Modern War players have gone to the new war game as well.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a CC replacement come down the pike soon.

The idea is a novel one though. Kinda stems from the old Sim City games, where putting residences near water and away from industrial areas netted you higher property vales and net income.

Does it bother anyone else that you can place a money building where no customers can access it?

A money building should have to touch a sidewalk to produce cash. If it's inaccessible, it shouldn't generate any money.

These are cool ideas. Thought about some of this but too lazy to move everything. Where do we out all the gats, turrets, and other small defense buildings.

This idea is not improving the game one bit and I don't have my own improvement thread because the game is fine the way it is now.

haha you are kidding right? bugs, cheats, gold bonus changes, people getting kicked out of syndicates, battles taking hours to occur during wars, gold not being able to be purchased at the start of war, gree extending wars and then reducing them and handing out prizes for brackets that didn't even exist etc...... the list goes on.

Yes you are right the game is definitely fine the way it is now.

You wouldn't happen to be a Gree employee by any chance would you?

This sounds like a good thing that might add to the game. The only down side I would have is I have expanded my land as far as possible in both directions. I hav not much open space thus making it very difficult to move buildings around to change their location. If a person has little or no space to shift locations how would they be able to do what you are proposing. To have to sell buildings u hav spent money, gold, and upgrading costs on is daunting to say the least.

If you are out of space, you have some low value buildings that would be easy to replace.

The one downside would be that everybody's hoods would start looking the same.
