Or let us use, say 10 of them to reset the timer or something like that instead of having to use gold.

open 1 case = free hit (same as current)
open 5 cases at once = equivalent of cash hit
open 10 cases at once = equivalent of gold hit
reset timer = 15 cases

Same here. The cash hit is too expensive and gold for me usually gives a concrete block.

You know what! You are making me re-think... Getting 10 concrete blocks doesn't look so bad in comparisson to these prizes. My faction might need them as now fortifications go up to level 15. Thanks for your insight. Seriously!

Agreed, the 25 crate events with the top 1, 50, and 250 prizes really only benefit the top gold spenders. Could you imagine getting the 251 most crates open? Unknown amount of gold spent to get the same prize as 25 opened. Lol. 10 crates are the only crate events that help the no or light gold users. I'll use free chance with an occasional medium and be lucky to get 10 opened. Since I'm not playing the current LTQ and we are finished with the FLTQ, I guess I get a break from the game to enjoy the weather and a beer. Life isn't so bad.

I am glad the rewards suck...this Cold War with massive stat units was getting expensive. I can sit this one out with no effect.

The problem with the case events is the fun/reward/gold factor.

The thought of opening AND WINNING that many cases is ridiculous. The odds are stacked way against us. Just trying to get 10 on the other event is beyond frustrating. I can deal with the energy and fighting events because the goals and rewards are there for the taking. Plus you can go free or gold and feel a sense of accomplishment.

The Case Events always feel like a scam to me. What are my odds? What can I open? Why can I go for days without opening anything then get a few in a row...only to continue getting junk to finish the event (after some gold, of course). With no explanation.

Chance? Not when the majority have the same experience. There are no clear answers and I have learned to ease up on them.

But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I am not a big fan if the 25 crate events but I will still use cash opens when I think about opening one. But I will not set timers like on 10 box events. Not much use for in game cash anymore and I'll take all the indestructibles I can get. Especially since their about to jump it up to 3k units takin into battle.

Actually you have to spend XP to get the cases. So unless you are doing something else, getting them gives you some considerable XP.

I've given up on case events. the last 10 case event I used a timer to make sure I opened a case using cash every hour all day long, even while at work. I opened probably 18 a day during the entire event and only got 8, when during the previous event the same strategy got me 10 with a full day to spare. oh yeah. when I finished with only 8, I had got 5 in the first 5 cases opened and only 3 in the remaining 3 days 18 hours. Shenanigans!! free cases only and no timers for me anymore

I'm completely happy with the event. Good filler before something else, no pressure to participate, and if I get lucky and open the 10th, can replace the vector warships I have. I've also gotten several nice helicopters too, so no complaints from me. I think I average 7 opens a day, so I'm not missing anything.

By the way, anyone looking at the scoreboard? I wonder what happens if there is a tie. What? Both players get it? Anyone want to venture a guess that we will have a tie?
