What's going on the last month with gree?

This isn't negative against gree.there has been a strategic change in philosophy last month. Big reward fast level up, in 5 weeks my defense went up a couple hundred thousand. This month I've leveled up 3 times as much and had little reward. It seems to me that they are trying to drive the free players out of the game. I have two smaller teams I don't spent money on that are now swallowed, and I'm about to abandon them.
Any thought from those with better insight

Bosses probably looked at the profits and told the developers to make more cash as their quotas were slipping. Granted once they kill the cash cow profits will tank substantially. IMHO don't buy Gree stock......
