Would you pay for a premium Subscription if it included an expansion to your castle that included a Gem factory that made 10 gems per day? This would not change the free subscription base.

Wouldn't pay. Only because subscriptions to anything seem to be much more difficult to cancel than they should be.

Only if it included extra castle space to accommodate this gem factory as well as a few more training feilds

I really do like the concept of this thread. I don't think it would happen though, at least not at 10 gems per day. Here's why, based on non gem sale prices
800 gems for $100
65 gems for $10
175 gems for 25
375 gems for 50
Taking into account 10 gems per day and 30 days in the average month. That is 300 gems a month. You can purchase 375 gems for $50. That would reduce the amount of gem sales, and as we all know that is how they make their money. Even at the lowest sub fee. Even at the highest sub fee, they are still losing money.
If you reduce that to say 2 gems per day, which nets 60 per month. That gets you close to the 65 gems for $10. Which seems fair. Like I said, great idea, but if it cuts into their current gem sales they won't do it.
I make no claims that this math is correct, my mind has shut down for the day. The windows shut down music has played.

They technically aren't "losing" any money at all. Because it cost nothing to make gems. But i think a lot of people would pay a monthly fee for X amount of gems.

It would be an interesting thing tho, but i do agree if they somehow add this, it would be nice to add more castle space

Yeah, I was thinking four more expansion slots. The Gem factory would take half an expansion slot. The ideal would to get the non payers the incentive to pay a monthly amount versus paying nothing at all.
Increase revenue when there was none. 300 gems can be used up in one 3 day guild war. So it's not like people would just stop spending gems.

The problem with this is that players who originally used to buy the 375 gem pack monthly for guild wars or for other uses, would now end up subscribing for this and stopping all their other purchases completely.
Also, 300 gems can bring you very far in guild wars if you were in a mid tier guild.
The thing about offering subscriptions like this with so much benefits and minimal cost, is that you're gonna see players, who could have potentially bought gems packs, start subscribing for this instead.
I could probably see this happening if it was maybe 1 or 2 gems a day instead, however.

Fantastic idea!! i would buy such machine in my castle..i would also guess that gree will increased the gems for each of the chests since it will churn a good number of gems on the daily basis. :)

For those who think that it's a terrible idea, it really would depend on the current gem purchases (info not available obviously).
For the high-end guilds, gem spending would continue largely as per normal because 300 gems a month is nowhere near what is spent in a war.
However, for the non-high end players, how many actually buy that many gems in a month? If the % is relatively low, this option may actually allow Gree to make more money because it has a higher conversion rate instead of relying on the whales.
End of the day, whales will continue to spend. This option will allow Gree to get a more steady revenue stream of some sort from the non-whales though.

Not gonna vote cause it will never happened and the day it does means the end of this game because gree has no other way to make money. What we need is more land for gold producing

I can also see them attempting to make a subscription with free DPC chest(s) every month or so. I wonder how much time they devote to money making ideas than game-changing content. Maybe if the content helps them get more revenue than they'd devote time only for that. For example, a six star armor. Or a bacon-themed armor.
I could probably see this happening if it was maybe 1 or 2 gems a day instead, however.
Ever heard of the free gem button? It gives more per day and costs nothing :)

I just had an idea, which would add more content as well. Have a "mining" level that can be run once or twice a day and give gems and gold. Fight a "mining" boss and get the drop for gems and gold on the SA. The minions that you have to fight through can drop random crafting materials too. The low level stuff. Just an idea.
