View Full Version : Just an FYI - Health regen times are decreased

With no regen bonus at all it takes ~24:40 to get your next hit for bosses (war regen I believe uses slightly different math). This is where I am in KA, and I'm assuming the same times hold for all 3 games.

In MW I've been sitting on a 53% bonus for ... ever. The next hit, for boss events, was ~12:10.

I am now up to a 57% health regen bonus (3% for the top 250 unit in France, plus the new 7/7 faction 5% upgrade). At 57% the next hit now takes ~11:10.

This is huge. Per my (approximate) math, we used to only be able to get in 23 hits with about 7 (useless) minutes to spare in that two hour timeframe. But we can now get in 25 hits with about 4 minutes extra. And I did include the extra time it takes to actually tap on the buttons and such (assumed about 10 seconds each time).

This all includes the "Tap 3 times, wait one minute, tap two more times, regen" method. Keep in mind that the "regen" in the middle is NOT 1 minute. It is closer to 30 seconds, probably slightly less, and I over estimated that in my math to keep this conservative.

Good news for all -- well, all of us who got these extra bonuses.

the additional math gree came up with is to double the number of bosses. :D

Don't think so. Same boss changes happened in CC a few weeks ago. And there are no health regen bonuses to be found anywhere in CC.

Try again ... perhaps with something useful.

If you have 57% regen, I assume 2 20% and 1 3% unit, with 7/7 faction boost.

So full regen time is =100*0.95^7*0.8*0.8*0.97=43.35min or 43min 22s.
Each 1% health is 27s.
regen 25% is 10min 51s
regen 26% health takes 11min 17s roughly.

I suck at math, what would -44% Health Regen be, timewise?

Right around 56 minutes..., within 30 seconds either way. 14 minutes per hit, with 7 seconds either way...

As usual ffp you make my math look like 4th grade algebra (where my son is right now ...). And, yes, I've got those units. Hence my 57% bonus. I thought there was another unit that came out before I started playing; I've heard mention of it before. But anyway ...

You make several extremely important points that many players probably wouldn't see unless we specifically pointed them out, so let's take a look, shall we?

Point #1:

So full regen time is =100*0.95^7*0.8*0.8*0.97=43.35min or 43min 22s.
This is important. When I do boss events and am on a roll killing bosses consecutively, as soon as I kill boss xx I plaster a note on my own wall saying "Boss xx at yy:zz [time]". I also set my timer for 44 minutes and then go at the next boss. No time wasted.

Point #2:

Each 1% health is 27s.
This important because using the "Tap 3 times, wait one minute, tap two more times, regen" method as I mentioned above, we now know exactly how much time we actually have to wait for that "wait one minute" portion:
27 seconds. NOT one full minute.

Also important because of point #3 below.

Point #3:

regen 25% is 10min 51s
regen 26% health takes 11min 17s roughly.
Again, using the "Tap 3 times, wait one minute, tap two more times, regen" method as I mentioned above, we now know exactly how much time we actually have to wait for the "regen" portion:
10:51 + 0:27 = about 11:18
This jives (jibes??) perfectly with what I'm seeing now: just over 11:10 when I have to wait it out (the extra few seconds you'll never see as they are spent while you tap).

Damn I'm glad we are factionmates. We need to do dinner sometime. Your flight from Australia to the U.S. shouldn't cost you too much. Do that and dinner's on me ...

First Strike Tomcat: 20%
P-91 Pounder: 30%
Curragh Combat Ship: 5%
Deadly Bridge Jumper: 20%
Armored Tomcat: 20%
Arjun MBT Mk. 2: 5%
Foreign Legion Sergeant: 3%

Faction Health Regen- 7 individual 5%

I also believe there was an Elite Bridge Jumper 20% awarded for those that had the Deadly bridge jumper already (allowing it to stack)

Those are the only Health Regen Units that there have been in this game (although there were the Variants on the tomcats and Jumpers when they were 10 crate events)

*Note while those are the only units top 3 has gotten a couple 20% bonuses that were not Units.

My health regen has not changed at all since the last boss event

I had no idea there were so many units. Been playing for over a year, so many of those were obviously before my time.

I have:
- First Strike Tomcat: 20%
- Deadly Bridge Jumper: 20%
- Foreign Legion Sergeant: 3% (This is the French guy, right?)
- Faction Health Regen: 7 individual 5% - 35% bonus total

Those add up to my current 57% decrease.

My health regen has not changed at all since the last boss event

manbeast if I recall you're in Ferr Jr. (we faced you in France and ran away quickly ...). If so you definitely should have seen at least a 1% change from the Foreign Legion Sergeant (3%) immediately after the war was over; that was the top 250 prize. He brought me from 53% to 54%. My faction's 7th regen upgrade the other day got me up to my current 57%.

You should be roughly 10:30 for one hit

Warrends- good memory. Yes I am in Ferr jr and I'm sure we got the unit but it didn't make a noticeable difference in my regen time.. I'm at -70% and we haven't purchased lvl 7 health regen yet..

For quite a while now I have to wait 7:40-7:55 inbetween boss hits (depending on where regen timer is when I died). It still says 7:50ish after I kill him. Maybe it took a second or 2 off but nothing drastic

If your bonus is already that good then you may not see a difference at all, either in actual timing when you're killing bosses nor in your list of bonuses; the rounding may just not show.

And I do know you, btw: You recruited me for the MW War of Nations alliance long ago. My son joined too. But I gave up on that, unfortunately, after my appendix exploded several months ago and time just got too short. So, many months later, many apologies to you, Self Proclaimed, Thief, and the others in the alliance.
