Elemental bonus damage

What is the % bonus damage when you pick a strong element vs a normal damage element? Is it twice the bonus when you pick both weak elements?

Also how does the bonus work, does it take the damage it would have done then apply the bonus and that's the result, or does it take your attack stat and apply the bonus then calculate the damage (or does it not make a difference?)

At what point is it better to use an Air only armor vs an Air/Earth fighting a Water/Air boss?

Having one element advantage is a 50% bonus. Having two is a 100% bonus. The bonus is applied by

That's essentially the same thing.

You could use the boss damage calculator to find out yourself. In most cases a dual element advantage is almost always better, as long as there isn't an elemental advantage against you.

Yes. My LF+ hit harder than my Infernal+ on the current boss. And DP+ crushes him. =P

The Living Flame would do a little more damage per hit, but the Blazeborn would survive for more hits, so the Blazeborn would be better overall. (Unless you get to a level where the boss is doing so much damage that he kills both of them in 2 hits.)
