View Full Version : new LTB that pays gold not cash (SUGGESTIONS PLEASE)

Lets continue to try and improve a game we all love before the majority of the big dawgs leave to greener pastures. This forum is for suggestions. I have one why not.make the next ltb pay in gold so that gold is not just a purchaseable commodity. It will bring back the joy of robbing a hood and how good it felt to take from a nemesis who fills ur news feed. I dont even care if someone robs me now because the cash aspect is beyond pointless with all the events rolling out. What good is the best cash weapon when I have 500 better from over a years play from events etc.. please any good ideas to plug the wholes in this ship cause its sinking fast.

It could work, but if they ever did it I would expect a 24 or a 48 hour building that paid out 10 gold when fully upgraded. ANd it would probably cost 20 billion to fully upgrade.

Sure, if you want to pay lots of gold for a little gold. Granted, it would be fun for free players to rob these buildings, but it's not going to happen. What you're thinking of is called "tapjoy."

Damn ur fast.. I agree it needs to be a worth while project .. something like a 12/24 that pays 100 gold and is available to all players like this silly circus tent.. it would boost revenues because it would get non gold users to occasionally buy gold and offer a bit more strategy. . All the ratios on payout like starting point versus fully upgraded need to be consistent with the direction of gree rolling out new events.. if this is the norm and 20000 gold a month is gonna be the new standard for completion of events and syndicates battles. Gree needs to stabilize there platform and modify accordingly .. it seems disrespectful for a customer who has spent money in consecutive months past to be trumped the following month with inflation so egregious that it was futile to spend in prior months.. a game must have stability and rules in order to be played.. otherwise we are all just children on a playground in chaos

I hope Gree is classier than that. They should offer unlimited gold for the life of the game for 100K right before shutting down forever.

Probably won't happen. Their main revenue in crime city is generated though gold selling. If I was running this company and my marketing manager threw this idea on the table, I would unbuckle my belt and beat him on the spot.

It's actually not a bad idea. Look up the marketing idea called product sampling. It requires little cost, and it gives people a taste of something they may not have tried on their own. If you hook a few customers to come back to purchase more, then it is a success.

That's why Gree gives out gold from time to time. In actuality, 200 gold will not get you very far. But when they throw it out there, if gives people that taste that leaves them with a desire for more.

A gold-generating building would be a great product sample. But ask yourself, could you handle it?

Imagine how much people would start robbing like crazy and if they make it give a high xp gain to rob everyone will lvl up like crazy and thats good for GREE too :-)

They would never do that. Why do you think they are making these events harder so that the gold players will spend more gold. GREEDY will lose money if they make this building and everyone know they are all about the green stuff

Pawn stars on Facebook did the same thing. Their gold are candies. Originally one had to pay for the candies and then they rolled out a candy dispenser. I don't remember how much it cost, but it gave one candy every eight hours. You had to have to save a few weeks to do anything decent, but it might work here because people would still buy gold to go higher faster. Rather than have a building dispense it make it a newspaper stand that can't be robbed.

If the LTB in question cost, oh lets say 900-1000 gold and fully upgraded only produced 10 gold every 48 hours. It might make sense for them financially. I suppose it depends how long the aver user plays this game for before moving on to something else.

The day they do this would b the end of crime city it would mean gree is completely desperate, even tho they look pretty desperate right now and it would cost like a vault not in game cash

Agreed, this was my earlier point exactly. If I saw it implemented I would probably decrease my overall gold spending.

I would spend more gold along with spending gold to have it built.. it would add another element to the game and WHY IS ANY PLAYER BAD MOUTHING THIS AS IF ITS A BAD IDEA..do you like to give all your money away with no return on investment. . Morons seriously. Anything that benefits the player is a fantastic idea.. not to mention gree should love it cause im sure it would bring in more revenue for them also..

Why would people oppose it?

1. It would make gold-hacking much much easier
2. It would contribute to stat inflation
3. It would almost certainly be combined with an increase in gold prices
4. It would be a key indicator that Gree is giving up on CC

Giving "more stuff" to players isn't always in their benefit. cf. recent stat inflation.

I don't think anyone's "opposing" anything. It's not up for vote and no one is listening to you anyway. It's just hypothetical argument as to why this would be a bad idea or why it won't happen.

has to be an building that can not be robbed then. Gold is different than cash. Yes, there are building that cost gold to build and produce cash that can be robbed...but if there is ever a building [Smelting Plant] or [Treasury Building] that produces gold, it would be a great attribute to have.

Being able to rob the building an acquire some gold would be neat so if the building comes along then we should be able to rob it. If you can't collect your buildings on time, don't build them, simple.

Agree on the philosophy of robbing buildings. That's what they're there for.
So if a gold producing building pays out 1 gold every 8 hours, you rob it twice...what do you get 40% of 1 gold bar?

Defiantly would not be 1 gold payout lol. Would hope it would be higher like 10 at least for level 1 maybe higher depending on the collection time which will most likely be some weird time like they are now.

We don't need regenerating gold. We need more ways to spend in-game cash & respect. Those currencies are already becoming largely irrelevant.

While I'm at it, giving stuff away =/= Improving the Game

Open up the rival list, let people hit anyone else at least one day a week, and let those hits damage/weaken the losers even more so than just in cash terms.
