Seeking advise! Im the leader of a group that has a member that seems to have loyalty issues!
He has been a big part in the team. But has left and come back twice now. And this time he is negative on what he says and acts as if his stuff don't stink. At what point do I as the leader of the syndicate say that is enough?

Thanks

you got to let him go before he takes some of your members

Negativity only breeds more negativity. Boot him.

Another vote for the boot. I'm also a leader an if I had one negative person he/she would be gone.

If he is putting up the most ip in your syndicate you should think about keeping him

Depends on the kind of syndicate you want to run

I am an officer of a very family orientated top 250 syndicate, we chat about general day to day life alot and due to this have some very loyal players

yeah we do our best in events and have a mix of gold and free players but this is the syndicate that we have and try to run, we had a similar issue when we had a few players help us become top 100 instead of 250 and we decided that we'd rather be a happy syndicate content where they are rather than pushing only for results

for us the negative person would be talked to about their outward negativity and if their response was still negative, then goodbye

We take the position if you cannot get along with us and fit in, we don't care how many points you put up in a war; you simply are not going to remain a member of our syndicates.

Maybe you should just talk to him about it or post a thread on the forum asking people how to make an adult decision. Either will work I guess.

the biggest ip score is not a valid reason to keep somebody who is not loyal...at the end of the day it is a team Event...BOOT him!

Kick him and don't think twice. You're the boss...step up and show the syndicate that you have a pair.

If he left once, don't take him back.

I am happy to say I have had my 'core' of loyal players stand by my team. Only people that have left have gone to specialised camping syndicates or joined their main accounts.
Booted a few non actives but overall happy with my Rebels... Couldn't ask for a better bunch of gals and guys.
Loyal players make the heart of any team.

Once he starts bad mouthing the team and spreading negativity, it just goes downhill.

Now would be a good time to exercise some leadership.

You have got to do whats best for your syndicate. Letting him stay has a negative influense on the team spirit and as another poster said increases the chance of him taking some members with him. Leaving you with a crippled syndicate.

I take it you worked hard to form a good team, don't let one rouge destroye that.

Think about the future of your syndicate.

...is his " negativity" coming from questioning the leadership..?...wanting more participation from all members..?..advancing a new strategy for the syndicate ..?...just tell us the whole story Mister Leader...!

I think his negativity comes from wanting to be a officer again and I told him no! Untill he proves that he can be loyal to the team!

Lol he's whining coz he wants to regain officer status?

As in most clan based games, don't give admin/officer status to those who demand it. And when they turn sour, boot them. They're driven by vanity and indv pride, both of which are unhealthy in a group setting.

But really now.... Officer status doesn't do anything for the account... What's the big frigging deal? It's not like officers get more bonuses or free hats.

You said it yourself Reese, it's about status, being on top of the list.

You are also right about not granting it to whining, demanding menbers...

.....why would anybody want to be an officer in the first place....?....he is paid the same wage as any schmuck in the team.....vanity?....hmmmm....this is rather Vanitas Vanitatis....

The only thing you can do is to boot him, and that's exactly what I would do. He's not gonna change.

This is a game and the point of a game is to have fun. If he's not allowing you to have fun why keep him?
