Can someone from gree explain skill points?

Energy I get, stamina I get, but what about attack and defense? Does it really do anything, if so what ?

It has been all explained on here before. Do a search for it. It's in one of the best if the best guides. It's pretty poor though something like 10 att/def per point level 101 and over.
