Edit edit: This is outrageous. The top 10 scored roughly 6 mil more IP (or roughly $6,000 of real money) to get the same prize as the 12th place team without any knowledge of it.

So Gree has problems over the weekend which affect everybody adversely. Their solution to the problem is to change the tiers which only benefit a select few. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.

Also, how about the programmatic complexity and risk to shuffle all that stuff around right at the end, that could have easily gone sideways (just speaking from historical context)? Ironic, all the time and effort they spent on that just made people more frustrated when it would have been a lot easier to just give free gold, or a free item or something.

GREE, you've got a pretty serious disconnect with how most players play this game. From my syndicate's perspective, when you changed the end time, people reacted negatively because folks plan on achieving a certain IP, by buying a certain amount of gold, or by participating a certain amount of battles to get to whatever their IP goal was. That goal is holistically defined within a syndicate by a "goal ranking" that the leader/officers want to achieve. Moving the tiers at the end effectively did the same thing as changing the end time, it breaks the strategy, which is what these syndicate wars are all about.

Full disclosure, my syndicate benefitted from this (top 60 instead of top 75) but I'm still frustrated by such a short-sighted decision.

The proper thing to do, as a true apology to everybody...would have been to add a top prize and push the others down a bracket. Instead GREE opted for example to say sorry to 20 teams in the top 150...and %$#% you to 30 teams in the top 150.

Teams were shaping their strategy for the end of the battle around the retracted time extension. To give the prizes to just a limited number of syn.'s is absurd. We were ALL negatively affected by GREE's technical issues (once again).

The aftermath of this technical glitch turned absurd debacle will be very damaging to both GREE$ income and many syndicates effort to build balanced teams (months and months of work). There have been many disappointing decisions made by GREE, this one is a topper.

It's not all about the top ten. They screwed up for all those at every tier edge who spent gold to climb up into a tier, only to find out that they needn't have bothered.

And the reason they had to bother was lousy match-ups, server crashes and a fake extension. We all, at every level, tried to compensate for the foul-ups, only to have the carpet pulled away from under us because of shifting "rules" and "objectives".

Far more than the Top 10 teams feel (justifiably) shafted by this unacceptable accumulation of errors.

Granted, we are not in a top 10 syndicate, but I think I can speak for everyone and say that this is totally jacked up!
Many, many teams that were near a tier line, spent gold to either stay above or reach that line for the next tier.
Changing the tiers at the last minute was a poor decision by Gree and cost a whole lot of individual players $$ that they wouldn't have had to spend.
This is not just play money here folks. We all work hard for our cash that we hand over to Gree to help fund their incompetence. Yes, I did recently post a thread thanking Gree and all players for playing a game we all love, rethinking of editing it and taking out the props to Gree. Loving a game and being robbed of my RL cash that I work my tail off for, are completely different.
I don't event want my gold back at this point. I'll take cash Gree. I want my money, not gold (that means nothing to your bottom line to give out). Then I can decide if I want to continue to spend cash on this troubled game.

I think if you were to go this route (which I don't necessarily agree with) the correct thing to do for a move like this is to move every team up one prize tier (Top 25 gets Top 10 prizes, Top 10 gets Top 3, etc), and give FC something else I guess. Instead of the way it is, where a few teams benefit greatly from the shifted tiers (e.g. 12th place finished with 16,293,274 IP, while the mark for Top 10 was 16,286,349 IP when there were 19 hours still to play-- GREE allowed 18 hours and 58 more minutes of the Top 10 battle-- which ended up over 23 million IP-- and shifted the tiers with 2 minutes to go), whereas the teams that had legitimately earned their spots get the shaft. It's about the scummiest move I can think of GREE pulling.

Towards the end of the war my syndicate floated around 29 and 30 and were still about 1.5 mill ip away from 25 so we stopped spending gold. We were all shocked to have received the "Top 25" prize when the event was over (placed 30th!)

Although we benefited from this it still is not right! BAD move on Gree's part. They thought this was a good idea to make people happy by giving more people better prizes but they did not account for STRATEGY IN SPENDING REAL MONEY! It is not fair for those who were holding on to or right behind those benchmarks to make a push WITH GOLD to hold or take over that spot.

So what's the solution? If everyone gets a prize then no one benefits because WE ALL HAVE IT! In my opinion, giving out gold is the only solution. That way it is up to us to spend it wisely whether it is for ourselves (like buying henchmen) or on our syndicate. However, if they distribute gold then those who don't spend or are light spenders will benefit a lot more than the big spenders. 200 gold won't satisfy those who fought for the top 100 and better positions.

One thing is for sure: Gree did not make a good decision!

Giving everyone free gold isn't the solution either, IMO. The only way free gold would be a solution is if they only gave it to the right people/syndicates. The ones who pushed really hard to achieve the next tier and achieved it are the only ones who deserve free gold.

The best solution, in my opinion, would be to award additional prizes to the syndicates who achieved the original tiers.

the best thing gree could have done was admitted to the mistake, hired some programmers who can get projects done on the schedules gree sets instead of pushing out a POS product, and not trying to f with things to make up for their mistakes. giving out gold, changing tiers, and changing show down lengths only ruins the experience. if they had just fixed the problems and not tried the extended showdown/tier changes, we would all be sitting here complaining about crappy gree programming instead of seriously wondering wtf is going on with that company.

My syndicate received the TOP 1000(1200) prize Pack O' Dogs (686/561) now the splash screen and the original rewards list, listed it as having +3% attack from cars BUT it is showing in my stats and bonuses screen as having +3% mafia defense...WTF is going on?????

This proposal is simply a response to moderator complaints that we start too many threads about the same issue and that we, as players, are sending mixed messages to Gree regarding what we want in response to problems occurring in game. We had members buy gold to help with the extended hours of the event and they weren't even available for the last battle because they thought they would have more time. I am seething GREE. I and others made a decision to effectively pay to propel us into the top 500 and yet we just should have

A. quit half a day early with absolutely no ill effect
B. Saved hundreds of dollars each

Why didn't you just hold off until next war? The logic of that is so blindingly simple. But that ship has sailed. So you need to bump everyone up to the next tier and give FC something for their pain because heaven-knows you don't do refunds.

Most of all though someone needs to get on these forums in their official capacity and explain what happened and why. STONEY SILENCE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

In the absence of GREE responding I will be pursuing refunds for accounts on several devices and I will be demanding my statutory rights be enforced.

Forum members, as you can see this effects players all across the board and we feel just as cheated.

Yes I totally agree with Big Money , Gree should move the team up the tier prize not downwards, this will keep everybody happy, and give FC extra bonus rewards to be fair to them!!

We should be allowed the courtesy to have fun in a structured time frame laid out by developers and when problems happen, be compensated a degree that makes sense to all who play from level 1 to 250.

There was NO solution to the events happening during this war that would have spared gree some scolding, personally i think they found a solution a majority of the ppl should be able to live with. And on the last minute gold spenders, how much more gold would it have taken to keep your position withouth the rollback? it probably ended up cheaper now.

also don't forget that the mid war problems affected each team differently, we got screwed pretty hard because next to the long matchup we got matched with a top 15 synd 4 wars in a row meaning only the strongest 5 ppl could do anything else then hit wall/HQ. Thats a LOT of missed out ip from the normal hits. other top100 synds got mached against top 4000 teams withouh high levels, not great either but a level 250 attacking a level 1 still gets 3 times the ip per hit as someone hitting a HQ.

I am in 100CLUB. We missed the top 120 price with 2k, just relaxing the last battle without a clue that GREE changed this.
