Can anyone recommend some apps to use in order to improve upon syndicate communication?
I'm Looking for something that doesn't use a phone number. Any and all recommendations are welcome.

Without a phone number then Palringo is your best option in my opinion.

Tried Palringo once - absolutely hated it (though I'm told it's better on a pc than on a phone)

I didn't do it myself, but heard some people changed the last digit of their phone number to use groupme, and it seemed to work ok. There's been no comeback from using my real one from telemarketing or anything if thats the concern for you.

we have players with 2 accounts for both cell and tablets that have used a cheap pay as you go sim.just an idea

Palringo is infuriating. Getting rid of it was a highlight of my year.

If you search for dudeman's posts he explained how to use the good apps without needing a phone, some app/web based phone number thing. I don't remember the details.

Palringo was worth the try and awesome to delete...

I would recommend "kakao talk" or "groupme"...for convos of not more than 10 people my alltime fav is "kik"

We use Group Me, can be used for IOS, Android and web based at pc. Have some weaknesses, but ok up to 100-120 peeps in one chat. Have downloaded Line, but not tried it yet, this can be used for all platforms.

Line has a nice group accessable document feature, good place to store battle strategy, scouting, etc.
