You're not the only one. I'm sure you knew that though

We're having the same problem. We should be facing 750 to 400 level teams. 3 wars in a row we are matched up with guilds with low level characters who are not even as strong as our weakest member. Once we were paired with a guild with one member and he was level 50 something :/. Besides the match up issues it is taking 15 to 25 minutes just to get a match. I'm sure the syndicates facing us are equally thrilled.

Getting very hard to get any decent points.

Teams with next to no members or very low scoring players.

Not ideal

C'mon! Pls just give me a one or two person syndicate. I know I'm 10k ahead of top 4000, but I wanna keep a sharp distance and my top 400 other syndicate matched up with a two man army, lol

Ditto. Top 750 and we are fighting/getting spanked by top 100 syndicates. Except when we fought a syndicate with 1 player and his defense was 181.

We are top 150 challengers but had about 6 matchs now to very low level syndicates from 1 to 8 players, so hard to score decent points with out
buckets of gold as they are all so low!!! Struggling for top 250 at the minute

Who's your strongest attacker? I'll happily oblige you. My weaker coconut is a touch under 670k defence ;)

Thank goodness my Top 250 team is facing the lowest team on the totem pole. 7 players with no one over 33k def and levels ranging from Lv 1 to Lv 66. Our team should be able to rack up a hundred points or so over the course of the next hour.... We should really be able to make up some ground after facing a slew of Top 150 teams... Might be nice to be matched against an opponent with similar attributes. Very disappointed....

I sent an email to Gree. This is the typical response I got

Thank you for your message about the Battle of Empire City match-ups. Here's what you should know about how this system works:

During the event, your syndicate will be able to Declare Battle. Doing this will tell the system "We're ready for a fight", and the system will start looking for another syndicate to pair you with. Declaring battle will cost one Hideout. The system looks at the following to determine an appropriate foe:

1: The overall strength of your syndicate : The sum of your syndicate's power will be compared to the sum of the other syndicate's power when looking for potential match-ups.

2: The Syndicate's Battle Rank: This is based on how well you are doing in the contest.

3: How many match-ups you have had with the syndicate during the event.

The system will spend 20 minutes looking for a match-up. As this time goes on, the parameters will relax slightly. If a match-up is not found in 20 minutes, your syndicate will have to declare battle again and the system will start looking again.

When a match-up is made, a special UI will come up that will allow you to attack the other syndicate's members (starting with the defense leader if he has not been defeated). You will have one hour after the match-up starts to attack the other syndicate, during which time the other syndicate will also be attacking you. For this reason, it is very important to coordinate battle declarations with your syndicate to maximize the number of people online during an attack.

What to do in the case of a difficult match-up:

Due to the above system, you may face a variety of overall power levels (although they should be fairly close, especially as the event goes on). If you get a difficult match-up, you can attack the Safehouse of the other syndicate instead of the players. This will result in less points per attack, but remember that it will take more than a single match-up to decide the particular battle. The winning syndicates will be the ones that have the most influence points at the end, which means the prizes for this event will ultimately go to the most dedicated and best organized.

I hope this information has been of some help. Please let me know if I can answer anything further.

Gary Martin

Hey Folks,

We are aware of some issues with the current event and our teams are working to resolve them. We do apologize for the inconvenience this surely has caused.

We do appreciate everyone's patience and understanding while we work things out.

Going to close this thread as there are many already on the issue.
