The trick seems to be use all gold resets and all gold opens and do it in the first hour of the event..... Usually costs no more than 500-600 gold. But i am a free player in MW and i have gotten to 10 on the last 2 box events.

My method just involves throwing a bunch of Gold at the event in the first 6 to 8 hours - it's been proven time and time again that getting to 9 in the first few hours is easier that getting to 9 in the last 2 days.

However - I usually wait until HB's times to open 10 at a time :)

If u spend 3000 gold in war, which is 2 vaults, then u would be able to get into top 25 and then ur stats would increase way more than if u spend 3000 on a 10 or 11k unit.

Yea thats the idea. Either do your reset but don't open until the new :15 mark....or open your crate every 1:15.

Like i said i haven't personally tested it. I do know that when i actually time my opens is when i have the least chance of success. So if i open the second that my timer expires and allows me to open up a new crate it almost always gives me a "sorry". Which is the reason i think people pay Gold to open instead of just opening with cash and paying gold to reset timer.

Ok I see there, I would rather wait then have a certain chance of getting something, Eiffel or not instead of wasting all your cash just to find a "sorry" over and over again. But I did just open one the second I could, halfway though the interval and got my 8th Eiffel so I don't know if this is just lucky or a stratergy to do, so you would open at :07, :23 :37 or :53. So far it has worked with :07 and :53, someone else will have to try the others though

However i'm on the fence. Hearing that you have spent almost 4k gold and not gotten it is certainly something to take note of. (I haven't even aquired enough crates for that...or come close to it even with the BP tournament)

I know the probability of opening the 10th Crate is somewhere between 1-2% (Quote that dates back to the time of CJ).
Assuming that information still holds that means the average person needs to spend 3000 gold to get the 10th item. (as i'm going to assume it's really just over 1%) Obviously that doesn't garuntee you anything...just shows you what the average person needs to spend.

You obviously have little experience wirh those events. I know numerous people who tried the tenth box for days without getting it. Not saying its impossible without gold, just very very unlikely.

Hahah back in May of 2012 they offered a Ground Unit with 20-30% more ground defense and i reached 9 Parts and had 5 days and 19 hour remaining. (They gave a whole week for the event)

I had over 100 open attempts as it was absolutely incredible unit (even by todays standards) but i never say 10. (I even tried to go into overtime).

It took me about 1300 gold to get 10. I figure if I bought all the LE units available right now, it would cost me 1415 gold, and the most I could get from that is 4478/2411 increase in stats (with rare unit). The final unit in this event gives me a 14000/11773 boost in stats plus 15% boost in air defense. That's not including the units for towers 3, 5, 7 and 9 as well as all the units, cash, and concrete from boxes that didn't have towers. To me it was well worth it. However, if I dropped 3k+ gold it'd be a little tougher to justify.

As an Insomniac and someone who always uses Cash opens who hadn't gotten 10 up until 6 months ago let me tell you that you have been very lucky. Generally i average 17-18 opens per day during the events and almost always got 9...but 10 would generally never be seen.

A combination of medium n low chance as well as tappin on the either low or medium chance usually within the first 4-5 seconds every hour has given me a free good shot at obtaining the 10 box prize.

I concur. If you think about using gold...do it on the very first day. There's always the next box event to try your luck again. ;)

Have not spent that much gold, but I usually finish the event for free. This time I was stuck on 7 since the first day and got number 8 yesterday. Highly doubt I will get 10 this time.

Got 8 towers out of 12 cash openings the first day. Took a day and a half for number 9 cash/free attempts and just spent 300 gold last hour to get 10th. Not too bad compared to the units you would have to buy for 1/4 of those stats.

I agree with you. It makes us like a freaking moron. I spent all my leftover 800+ gold when I stuck on 9 crystal eiffel for 2 days but yet not given the 10th crystal eiffel. All I got are concretes, tank eliminators and stupid tank. They should make the drop rate better when we use gold option. Poor marketing of the company, if they make gold option better chance of getting 10th crystal eiffel, I am sure that more people are willing to spend as people know that they can get the last crate with 300 gold or so.

Was stuck on 8/10 for 52 hours and then went golden after another failed cash opening. Gold time reset and gold opening with 5 boxes = 150 gold and got 9/10 and 10/10. I have a hard time beliving it my self.... But the unit is there and only 150 gold missing... This was a great box event...!!!

I tried 29 time resets + gold opens and didn't get the last crystal. Bastards at GREE. This implies that the open rate for that 10th unit is less than 3%.

This crate event is definitely a form of gambling, it would be nice if Gree could give us the odds of obtaining the 10th Eiffel. I've just wasted over 2000 gold. I would not back a 3 legged horse but I have probably just tried.

The open rate is actually 2% However the drop rate might have even been lower and rigged by Gree. The big Gree trick is to give almost everybody an airplane last time with little gold, so this time many people thought it would be the same, but Gree changed some parameters. If you already spend 400 gold you will not easy stop and accept all that gold was a waste of money, so you continue opening it.

I completely agree. I spent like 300 gold to get to nine. In the last hour I used the money option and failed. Then I quickly started using gold because i wasn't going out like that. So I spend another 120 gold and got it with my last gold bar. Better believe I will enjoy my $50 picture. Not sure I will do that again.

I landed on 8-10 with 30 hours to go.. I'm a free player but had to have the top prize here..so I broke my cardinal rule and bought some gold...I naively assumed that I would get it having spent real money..but 500 gold later I got to 9....1 tower for 500 gold..are you taking the piss..well played gree you got me good..well enjoy because that is the last real pound you will ever get out of me and I have 2 MW accounts and 2 CC accounts..
Got to say you missed a trick..think how much you could have milked me for on the next case event if I 'd got top prize on this one...would have made me way more likely to put my hand in my pocket.

I got 9 crystal eifels by opening the boxes on medium and then spent 360 in gold trying to get the 10th. I did not get it..... :( so sad!!! I needed that plane! I carry the Russian flag for crying out loud!!!

I have one member that obtained 10 boxes...he got the 10th earlier today.

In the past I have successfully opened 10 boxes for sure once, but maybe twice. I'm just sick to death that I didn't get that dang plane!

On my HLP I got all 10 with days to spare and 9/10 on my LLP with the exact same, if not more attempts. Last crate event I had to use gold on my LLP (which I don't think got me one crate by the way) just to get to 10 while I got to 10 with ease on my HLP. Thus, leaves me to question whether their are variables that affect the percentages, or just coincidence. I'll have to see next crate event.
