Update to 3.8.2 crashes game on droids!

I just updated my modern war on my nexus from 3.8.1 to 3.8.2 and now like many others on Google play, the game freezes on start up and won't load!!

Gree please fix!

thanks to everyone who messaged me possible solutions. Glad yo know it's not just me here but all 3.8.2 on android. Below is a fix that let's you collect and raid but I'm not able to go to the maps so can't help this ltq.

Download aptoide (not through play store)
Uninstall modern war on device
In aptoide, which is like a app store, search for modern war and when nothing comes up click on 'search other stores'
Browser will pop up. Look for the 3.8.1.1 version and click install
You should then be able to get back in

- your account will still be there
- You can collect cash and vault it
- you can raid
I can not get to any mini maps

Still hoping for a quick fix from Gree but hope this helps in the meantime

I can confirm 1mobile still has the old version (3.8.1).

1mobile is legit. I use it for the android modern war apk file to sideload on my kindle so i don't have to use the kindle version of modern war. I think they have an app you can download in the google play store...

Thanks yeah. I tried through aptoide and it's not working. I haven't tried uninstalling the game though because I'm very nervous I won't get my account back...

You will lose any prestaging you have done but your account should fine.

shouldn't lose your game/player data with a modern war uninstall...only if you wipe and reformat your whole phone

at least with the kindle, i had to click an option to allow downloads from third party sites. If it wasn't checked, I could only download apps from the amazon store. With the option clicked, I could put the apk files from the computer and the 1mobile app for direct downloading to the kindle...on the the kindle

I can't long in with my main account. I has reinstalled MW and tried 3 different data sources. Like others said. The loading screen comes up with the loading bar at the half way point but it never logs in. This is with a Motorola Razzr.

My dummy account is working fine at the moment except it has not received its daily unit yet. That should have popped up 2.5 house ago. It is running on a Motorola Electrify.

Considering the only benefit I have found for an iOS device is that this one game runns better on iOS I would rather have every thing else be android. iOS to smart phones is like AOL is to internet. Some people need training wheels. Others move on to a real phone that doesn't leave the factory on release day with 2 year old technology.

Same problem here on a Motorola Razzr Max... On Verizon Network.... It won't load after latest update... dead for 5 hours... loading screen goes halfway and freezes...my base is going to be ransacked and gree will do nothing to comp me... screw this. Test your stuff before screwing your customers gree! And yes, I tried uninstall/reinstall with no remedy...which by the way I should not have to do if you tested your updates before releasing to us..... still DEAD. Last straw for me... probably about done with this game.... okay probably not... that is an idle threat... I love the game.... but seriously! This should be fixed by now. :(

It's not the update, it's the data push. I'm on 3.8.2 and it works fine unless I download the data push and my can't open the app at all. It should work if you reinstall and select no.

Running a Galaxy S4 on AT&T. Won't load after doing the 3.8.2 update this morning. Just hands with the bar at about the halfway mark. No difference if I'm running on 4G or WiFi...

Hello GREE!!! I have now been locked out for over 12 hours. My buildings are going to be raided, I am going to lose my daily reward streak of which I havnt missed a day... My limited event goals are in jeopardy... And you don't even acknowledge a problem.... Or offer a solution. I have tried uninstall, reinstall, previous version, ( which halts and says updated version required to run this application on my device ) gree at least acknowledge problem and tell us when it will be fixed!

I don't know about anyone else, but when I reinstalled the app it asked me again and I selected no.

Players and Factions should be justly compensated for this problem.

Here's a few reasons I can think of.
A. Your money gets raided as you cant collect them. This wont be the case if together with being inaccessible, you dont show up on enemy list too. But I doubt this is the case. Your base gets raided for BPs and money. Some cannot be avenged as they had already fallen out of your news feed. You lose more units, especially valor units, as you cannot replenish your raided boost buildings.
B. Your money stash didnt grow as you can not collect from time to time. You eventually missed out on necessary upgrades, purchases, and or donations.
C. Events went pass by without you getting to participate at all. No indestructible units for some players. Not only does the player get affected, so does the faction. A few thousand att/def stat is sometimes all that is needed to win a battle in WD.
D. In the event that our accounts gets fixed, it will be too late. Some will not be able to finish the LTQ and get the prize. Worst, some who are consistent finishers of prestige levels wont get the chance to have the best prize.
E. Faction LTQs are easier if you have those missing players. With players missing due to inaccessible accounts, the faction is less likely to finish missions. Again less stat gain could contribute to poor performance in WD battles.
F. Leaders, officers, and DLs affected by this problem cannot perform their functions of accepting good recruits. The recruits eventually move on to other factions who take them in.
G. If this problem lasts until the WD event, some DL and Leaders will not be available. No walls, no top scorers, no organization, for some no wars at all.

I would be happy to hear what GREE would propose as compensationS. (yes plural)

I do find 3.8.1.1 on mobile1 but when I try to install it, it redirects me to the play store to the 3.8.2 page... Any idea how to stop that?

Faction-mate with same issue, update allowed him into game for the first time since he initially updated. However, it freezes when he tries to load event maps.

Same here. Downloaded the update from the Play store and got back into the game to find I had been raided for $5M. Just tried to do Mission Reaffirm 10/20 and it took FOREVER for the Military Base map to load and I'm on wifi, I honestly thought the game froze up it took so long.

I completely reset my device after installing and uninstalling. All data lost and started at level 1 again. Asked Gree to restore my account but reading all the remarks my base will be a graveyard. We should get compensation and the units we missed, the event we could not do, the faction mission and I raided 10 to 15 mil a day for a new faction with only low level players, all missed.
