Tectonic Change - Gree sure likes losing pay players

I play my friggin arse off. I have spent some $. Not a ton but some. I was going to fuse my cloudkng with Troll to get a Tectonic. And what do I find. That Gree now refuses to allow that Fuse! Good heck!!!

I even told my guild who was #6 in the short android war today, that I was going to drop $100 on gems next war. Well guess what Gree. You very possibly just lost my money and many others. Ta da! Some people get a crap load of epics, but I fuse 12 legends in the best possible way for epic odds, and I get jack squat.

So Gree...take away my possible progression in game, along with other players, and what do you get? Less money. Congratulations!!!

Wise one...please use your wisdom and help the powers be realize that they are morons and are making crap business decisions.

No, they are just incompetent. I reported hackers with video proof and the person(s) still hasn't been banned. They don't care what you do in this game. If you want people's money without losing some of its player base (especially the vocal one), they would have either not allowed fusing of epics a long time ago or not removed fusing of them when players were participating in their event.

That's what i said didn't I? The: 'Gree doesnt give a f*ck about the players' is pretty clear no? I'm not here to argue with you, far from it. But GREE was always out for money... Remember the other **** up with the ancient dragons event and the blac kaleido? Kinda did the same here, force ppl to buy gems and then punish them for doing so.

There was no gem buying from this event. They pretty screwed players for participating in their beast brawl event. I'm sure a guaranteed epic is better than whatever crap they put in that Beast chest. This is about principles.

Removing the ability to fuse epics is making this game 100% pay to win. When a maxed aegis of the dragon can't take down a maxed cloud range unless cloud misses a few times, the difference between armor levels becomes way too unbalanced. Fusing was the ONLY way for free players to obtain an epic, and unless you have epics, good luck getting top 10 to get the one from guild war because to be able to do that you'll have to beat players who bought chests to get there epics, and to do that, you need epics of your own. Epic boss? Who cares about legendaries anymore when they are far inferior to the current epics, even when having 25/50% bonus to damage. They either need to make it so epics can be fused again, or change epic boss to where the armor you actually get is epic quality, but in the same time the boss stats can't be boosted so much where you need a bunch of epics to reach level 43.

I also spend a little here and there when I can. And I can say that every time I've opened a chest I got crap armor. I planned on still doing that and trying to fuse for an epic. Because I figured one would pan out eventually. But if they make it chests only then ill never spend another dime until they guarantee an epic. Why should I spend money on a chance that most likely won't pay off. When I could spend less on a better more enjoyable game, like eve online.

Now while it is totally legit to decide a change of strategy and remove the possibility to fuse epics, this is not the way to manage it, with half the playerbase already haveing fused tectonic, and the other half just waiting for the beast brawl event before fusing, leaving this second half with a big competitive disadvantage, without any warning or announcement that this was going to happen.

I sympathize with the concerns, honestly. However, as a 'dedicated-yet-free' player, I'm just not that up in arms about it myself. I'm happy to make it within the top 1500 in a tournament for now, and haven't even yet maxed out my 'Big Four'. Hell, I haven't even gotten around to getting my DPRA+ yet, to be honest.

Gree does need to find a balance, to give those willing to spend money on the game some form of 'advantage', but not an exclusive one. IMHO, spending money on a game like this should simply get you the same rewards that any free player can access, but with a shorter time investment. Every player should have access to the same gear, but paying players should get it sooner/easier. It should be an individual player's choice, not a requirement.

In the first place, gree's strategy was saying - get these 2 boss+ armors and u'll get the oct keys and cape. They never promised a fusion resulting in tec in the rewards window. U just assume that u can fuse the epic tec after getting the event rewards. Assume more - makes an ass out of u and me.

A few months ago, they released a ninja looking shadow/water armor, proximate to the Starsong Shroud (same elements, defensive stat balance). I occasionally buy gems and meagerly spend them; I've always worked under the theory pay players (the likes of Euneuchorn, sp), get slightly better, slightly sooner gear as above, and win events - arena, epic boss leader board, et cetera - none of which shuts me out of the game, and rewards them for spending more.

The difference between the otherwise unobtainable 5 stars, though, is kind of tough to reconcile. That said, this event with a wheel of new normal difficulty bosses to easily facilitate fusing without risk...

I decided to come back and read this post I started. Pretty entertaining I must say. As a businessman and a pathetic sap (perhaps loser but this is how I unwind) for games like this, I decided what Gree did today was pretty much what I would have done as a business decision. It was actually genius from a $$$ perspective. Yep, they did...threw that forbidden fruit of the best Epic for top 10 guilds right in my face. Sure, Im still frustrated I cant fuse epic but this is a for profit company. I can complain for my "free game" or I can join the pay players. One post here said if the next epic armor from a Guild War was truly Epic, I would likely spend some money. Alas, I bit the apple and bought gems. Thought, hmmmm, I am a poker player too so why not gamble 300 gems on that new deal with 3 water fusions.

I gambled, and now have an epic. Not that it will help me any tomorrow, but yep, now I am an evil pay player who is glad others cant fuse epics anymore :) Damned be my soul!

You could also say that we're the abused wife who keeps coming back to the the man that beats them because they think "next time will be different." GREE knows this full well and will continue to expoit it until the wife finally decides enough is enough.

I've bought gems here and there, mainly to upgrade all my buildings, and also for guild wars.

I haven't spent any gems on any chests, and I don't plan to. So of course I was very disapponted that epics were no longer fuseable, but I did manage to fuse Blaze before the change.

After thinking about it, I decided this change will not affect my game play too much. As I decided not to buy chests from the beginning, I know I will never have the best possible armors. And that's ok, it's my decision.

For a short while, having the best armors w/o chests became a possibility, and it was great. And I got Blaze as an unexpected bonus :-) Now it's not possible again, so things are back to what they were before (shrugs).

I will continue not to buy chests. Again, still my decision :-)
