Hi all,
I'm in Android so haven't tried any war yet.
Any IOS users want to share their strategy in the previous wars? how do maximum points with your limited sources? what's the best thing to do in war?
I hope this is worth a new thread so i didn't ask in the Q&A thread.
thanks

I wear two sets of Stonescale Mail, and one set of Chimera Corps Uniform, that I've leveled to 4, which in Chinese sounds like "Death."
Seriously, though - we fought a war with a guild that had a guy who spent a few hundred gems, attacking the gate and getting about ten thousand points... single handedly. It makes me cynical of "strategy" when it's so easy to spend.

Lol sounds funny spending a couple hundred gems to attack a gate. The things people do...

The best strategy will depend heavily on the level of participation of your guild members, the strength of the opposing guild, and whether or not you are willing to use gems.
Ideally, you will have enough people to take out the other guild's sentinel and guardian, and get as many wins against the guild's other members as you can. One person, assuming they are strong enough to take out the other guild's sentinel, could accomplish all of this on their own with a pile of gems. Better guilds will be able to coordinate together to maximize each member's effectiveness.
To be able to attack the weaker members of the opposing guild (which is how you really rack up points), you must first defeat the guild sentinel. At the start of the battle, one of your guild's players should make an attempt and if they fail, report on the relative strength of the sentinel. At that point, another player could try to take out the sentinel with a power attack. Since sentinels tend to be the best defensive player of the guild, your stronger guild players should coordinate on getting down the sentinel. If it is apparent that you don't have anyone that can take out the guild sentinel, leave it alone and just focus on the wall and/or guardian.
If the opposing guild has a guardian up, it nerfs the amount of points you get from wins. Whether you should take out the guardian depends on the strength of the guardian, and how many effective attacks your guild will be able to get in during the battle. If you spend all of your available attacks taking out the guardian, it's likely you would have gotten more points by just attacking other members of the opposing guild (assuming you were able to down the sentinel).
Successful guilds will be able to maximize guild member participation and effectively coordinate roles and communicate with each other.
