Free gold from Gree?

Is there any kind of timetable for when Gree hooks up loyal players with free gold? It's been awhile since they gave everyone 200 free bars, it would be sweet to get that again! I'd sure love to upgrade to Goodfella an maybe even change my characters name on Gree's dime.

P.squiddy is right it helps with the PvP events and the ltq as well as gets you more money in stead of only getting one bonus

I have to agree with some of the others here. The Goodfella upgrade could possibly be the best 150 gold investment in the game regardless of what class you chose at the beginning.

It's 5405/6000. It was a leaderboard event (i think case files). i came in fourth. i thought it would cost me maybe a vault, boy was i wrong!! but i couldn't quit cuz i figured all the previous money i put into opening those file would have gone to waste. That'll show GREE not to mess with me lol

If I remember right we got that gold around when a war weekend was gonna happen, so I used it during battles to up my IP's. I dunno if Gree was hoping non-gold members would become gold spenders as a result giving away 200 bars but it totally worked on me. I've bought gold for war's ever since.

But now I want something a little more permanent. And I have to agree that upgrading to Goodfella has to be the best and cheapest way to benefit your character. I mean look at the cost of a lot of these limited weapons you have to spend gold on, the stats don't make the cost worth it IMO. Case in point, the ST Kinectics CPW gun. Things only got 1058 in attack an 571 in defense, but will cost you 875 gold bars! That's $70 for a bank and a stockpile of gold, or $100 for a vault. I don't feel that's worth the price when just by playing the game you can win items with stats that blow that **** away.

It was awhile ago, 4-6 months maybe? Can't say for sure.

Edit/ and obviously LE items aren't aimed at people who are light gold spenders. Same goes for a lot of other uses for gold. There's no point comparing goodfella upgrade to an LE item, because anyone buying the LE items upgraded long ago.

It makes perfect sense when you remember not everyone has hundreds or thousands of real dollars to spend on a game. I am a light gold spender. I live paycheck to paycheck and when I can chisel out $40 bucks or so a month for this game, I like to use it during wars to benefit my syndicate for the purpose of winning the best prize possible. Not everyones livin large. Besides I can be patient, my characters doing just fine right now. And when I can upgrade for free it'll be doing even better.

In the long run your syndicate would benefit much more from the benefits you gain from goodfella than from 150 gold worth of IP.

You may be right about that, but I have my game plan in mind and that's what I'm sticking with. If enough time passes and we the players aren't thrown a bone then yah, I'm sure at some point I'll upgrade outta my own pocket.

Charrrlllliiieeeee!!!! bwahaha...........bald is right. I used the 200 free bars to upgrade to goodfella, best decision I've made in this game and it helps out immensely for my syndicate on this LTQ. I'm keeping up with guys 2x the energy I have.
