Orb Drops

Does anyone have any info on best strategy to maximise Orb drops, please? Any tips would be much appreciated.

I've not tried, but does the troll give a better rate than anywhere else? He's 100% drop for weapons and armour

I go to crossroads and kill a bunch of mobs there. I have gotten 11 orbs there in half an energy bar.
