View Full Version : I wish there is an auto-farm function in K&D for enhancing materials.

While it is so exciting to get shiny new armors, farming snakeskins to enhance them is the most boring and tedious task ever.
I wish I could just line up the 3 knights, pick a stage / level, then just put it on autorun until all my knights run out of HP. Then I can do another lineup, and repeat the same process.
A girl can dream....

I think they are not going to do this... How many chest guys they are going to lost?

the english in this thread is concerning. Though I agree with the main point euc actually made a good idea for it, take out speed up arrow, and make normal speed almost there or add a one click speed up, after that u just have to be near to press fight when it comes up.

Dont think they will ever do that, the whole idea about missing strikes and needing to strike the boss with a specialfor the materials is to make sure people cant bot.
Dont think they will implement botting in their game if they are actually trying to avoid it.
I do agree, it is very tedious. Dream on girl :P

Gree wants money, so they make farming annoying enough to make some people switch to DPC, but just short of making people switch to another game...
The classic time vs money tradeoff.

I agree the farming is horribly tedious, but having fuse stones drop more or making them available for gold, would alleviate the need to farm so much.
Would also help alot if you could queue armors on armorsmiths... you know, type in number of armors to make, so you don't have to go back every 4 minutes and start new crafting. It's horrible and with the lag it's really annoying.

Don't think they'll implement this as much as I would want them to. I think PART of makes the better players stand out from the average players is their diligence. Their willingness to grind while many of us get bored in 10 minutes can be apparent. I get bored of using all my knights to farm snakeskins and as a result, I don't have as much as I need to max my armors. Though gold income is also an issue and gems as well, I believe grinding for mats is a dedication thing that not every player will have and understandably so.
Another idea,is making it possible to earn EP experience on the armor you wear during the fight, even if it is a tiny amount like 1-2 EP per run depending on difficulty of course (can't just farm relic ruins for easy EP,it would need to go by armor level and stage difficulty). It would give everyone more of a reason and passion to keep on farming and killing

That is actually a pretty good idea, might be even better in PvP, make it extra worthwhile to do PvP, handing out EP as reward for beating higher level players for example..

Anything that makes it more easy to get EP without paying reduces gem buying, so do you really expect Gree(d) to implement any of it?

Actually by promoting PvP, people will want to get better armor for a chance to defeat their opponents which in turn promotes chest buying. I mean people buy the chests mostly for better armour not for farming needs right?

I've said it before, farming is killing this game for me. In fact I started getting a pain in my left thumb from holding down the fast-forward button, so I've almost stopped farming altogether.
Other games manage to keep their players' interest without this tedious grind. Gree has lost mine, and I'm almost done with the game now.

Anybody who realizes how awfull the chest drop rates are, but still opens lots of chests must do so because a 50EP armor from a chest is so much easier than 8+ rounds of Snakeskin farming + 2x 2 hours of crafting for enhancement (even better if you get 90EP enhancement fodder) and a usable 4 or 5 star armor is just a pleasant surprise... ;)
(well, it could also be the gambling rush... ;) )
To get better armors, probably even fusing 3-star storyline armor is less bad than chests.

All I know is I'm about to quit myself too because I cant stand farming SS and its even worse that it was with everyone having relatively easy access to Epics, so we need to farm or pay even more to keep up.

Here is what i sent to wise one one month ago:
I think that Gree is missing out on a very easy way to get players to spend more gems and increase revenue.
In another game I played, players were given the option to skip the single player part (in this game it would be farming materials) in an operation call "Blitzing"
You would be able to setup a blitz for Gold, and then in the background the game would run in a way somewhat like the way the armorsmith works. You wouldn't be able to access anything that would change the HP of your knights. In theory it would work like this:
Pay 250-300 gold for one "run" of a level.
Each "Run" would require 30seconds to 1minute of Real time.
Potions would be used on the last knight to keep him alive until the level is completed
Rewards would be determined by pinging the RNG that you use to determine prizes
HP would be deducted from the team
Xp would be gained
Next run would be initiated if the requirements are met (Gold available, Knights living, Potions in Inventory)
-----
Oportunities for Gree to get people to buy gems:
1) Quick end to the "Blitz" 1 gem for X amount of blitzes.
2) People wanting to buy Potions. (lets be honest, i have about 50 and will never really use them because you can't use them mid-run)
Positive impact:
You remove the most onerous part of the game (farming materials for armors) while still adding the option of quick end with gems.
Add another bottleneck to players gold which may generate some sales on gold.
Ways to bottleneck this ability: put a limit to how many blitzes can be set up at a time. Like a time limit to 1 hour worth of blitzing, so that way you still can't setup an 8 hour blitz while you are sleeping
Just an idea that I have seen WORK in another game i played for 6 months that was even more casher-oriented than any gree game i have seen. (People seriously dropped 13k$$ on the game)
Food for thought

We will see how it goes

I don't... would ruin the game to be honest. Its already enough for terribly low levels to get the best armor

Nah, slower farming, since the thing doesn't seem to support fast-forward. :p ;)

I would like this function because it's getting annoying having to farm the Haunted Citadel to complete the 'Infernal Innovation' quest, it's really annoying having to get 18 of the chunks and only 25% of the time actually getting the chunks :/

You're right. I could add fast-forward to the first 3 levels, but I didn't want to miss the snakeskin on the fourth level. I think I would add potion support first though, so it can keep going longer :)

Oh wow, you built that?
Hmm, I wonder if anybody has written a Snakskin farmbot program for a K&D that's running in an emulator; should be easier than such a physical contraption... ;) (detect buttons, Gorgon and send the correct mouseclicks)

Yeah but that would be hacking/cheating. This is just my robot friend helping out :)

Using computer vision to detect certain objects on the windows/MacOSX/whatever screen and triggering mouse actions based on that certainly isn't hacking and isn't much more "cheating" than your contraption which I guess is timing based instead of vision based. ;) (both things would try to circumvent Gree's time vs money tradeoff)

--REMOVE THE SPEED UP ARROW!---
Increase base speed to a bit less than speed up arrow; or
Make it click-activate arrow (versus holding down) to adjust speed.
The game requires too much attention. Base attack speed & item pickup is going to drive away many new players.
Heroic mode map that drops gold instead of silver keys & only opens after finishing all questlines.
This can't be difficult to implement. Up the mob hp, damage, & XP by 100% & call it a day. Let players kill themselves over it. At least give us purpose again, plz
Other than implementing a heroic mode, I have found farming Dark Prince first zone good for leveling, but the Medusa there has a drop rate as bad as first zone of lowbie area; I've sent a ticket in about this, suggest you all do as well
Another thing they should implement are
"Adventures", send a certain 1-3 knights to a "zone" for 1/2/4/8/24 hours etc
Knight(s) are unusable for the duration & if they beat the boss you get whatever. Typically each adventure zone would have 4 stages of random encounters or stat gains (maybe level up armors w/o materials by doing these?) & final stage was always a boss. My Monster Rancher, my first IPhone Love-game only had this style. I've often seen K&D easily implementing it
