View Full Version : PvP Event; Discrimination Techniques

With the probability of a syndicate PvP event approaching I want to make a sort of archive for the techniques people use to find people who give them best point.
We can all try to deny it but when it comes down to it we all have to decide by looking at someone's name and avatar.
The only rules I try are to go for any tagged players as tags are often great stats and
ALWAYS avoid any Alex as they are quite the novices'
What's your tips?
~ Cao .

Note: I'm asking how most FIND great targets not how to avoid being jail bait.

I rarely bother looking beyond my own news feed. If you can beat me, I get good points for hitting you back. If my wall is full of green, well, that's never happened.

I look for FC, SAS, and Rogue members and pummel them. They return the favor so we both benefit from our links.

Considering I served a week ban for "racism" for saying something that had nothing to do with race but had to do with Trayvon Martin, let's see what the mods do about an ACTUAL racial slur.
Careful your not allowed to talk about bands

ALWAYS avoid any Alex as they are quite the novices'
Last PvP I was attacked by at least 3 Alexes who were quite a bit stronger than me. Still not sure who they are, but they had to be in top syndicates.

renaming to MWWM GoTTi should get a bit of attention on a rivals list. keep you laundromats and hourly building refreshed and your feed red.

I target FC, the high-stat Inds and those in the top 25 on the leaderboard.

Because the emotional rewards are so much richer than mere points. :D

Several people explained how they pick their targets. Within that targeting information was included info on which sorts of targets pay out the best points. How does this not qualify as "help"?
Just to make it easier, though:
1. Maximise the number of robs and attacks you do in the course of the event. Most of the top 10 more or less forgo sleep to do this. If you aren't PvPing non-stop in your waking hours then your odds of making top 25 are close to 0.
2. Maximise your average points per hit. Hit players with high standing on the leaderboard, and with stats as high as possible (ideally better than your own) to do this.
3. Robs are better than attacks.
4. Attacks are limited against a player by the amount of times that you, personally, attack them - so are therefore less time-sensitive than robs.
