View Full Version : Change in miss rate for arena?
Just the last week or so, my first knight misses a LOT in arena. This is purely anecdotal at the moment but I wanted to compare notes with others because it seems there must have been a change of some kind. Lately, my first knight in arena seems to have an almost 50% chance to miss. Not only that, but it is frequently missing twice and dying before it has even done any damage to the opponent. While I do see the opponent occasionally miss, it is at nowhere near the same rate.
I may have to start logging this. I know it's human nature to remember your own missing more-so than your opponents, but I have really been paying attention to this and I really don't think this is just observational bias.

Pay more attention to number of misses when you use different armors.
I notice that some armors miss more. I may be wrong. Just observe yourself and record it down

I actually kept a count and sent a ticket to gree. Here is what i said:
Whatever algorithm u have when battling is horrible, and very unfair. Out of 500 times attacking, i missed 41.63% times while my opposition only missed 11.87% times. How fair is that? They already get to attack first. Every time I double down is when it goes up. Before a double down battle it is only in the high teens, but when it is a double down it shoots significantly up. These are people that I can normally beat byt when u miss almost half of the battle there isn't a way.
It seems everytime i double down or am on a streak i get beat by someone a lot weaker than me because i will miss, and miss, and miss, etc. u get the point.

Yea same happens to me too, whenever I double Down to about 7 or 8 the misses go up signifcantly. I lost my 7 Double Down streak to someone wearing non+ Dragon Armors because I missed THREE TIMES, and almost back to back as well. Hit, Miss, Miss, Hit, Miss in that order.

I have noticed consideretely less misses! From two months ago untill like a week ago I had so many missed, I think I started 40% of the fights with two misses in a row.. Now I barely miss any hits, but if I do, there is ~80% chance my opponent will also miss.
I don't know if anything changed, but if it did, it changed in a good way for me

They probably designed the logic to work this way to tempt users to spend gems on keeping the double down streaks

You're right on. It's always about the money.

I've spoken about this before and nothing ever gets done. Just something else to frustrate and unbalance the game. Yet another reason I'm pretty much done with this game! GREE's Greed is causing the good, normal players to basically say F-You!

My thoughts exactly. I've lost my last 3 7/8 DD to weaker opponents due to well timed misses.
Seems to have changed right after the Guild wars.

All over reacting

How is it that these people are over reacting exactly. If they feel they are getting screwed and this is their reaction. Who are you to decide what reaction should be right for someone else. If they feel like a game company is greedy or shady and want to express it on the forums of said company then let them. You decided to get on this post and add nothing useful or even a different opinion. Instead in three words you dismissed all the others on this thread for no reason other then apparently you like trolling. If you feel the need to respond try and make it something constructive instead of pretending other peoples opinions don't matter.
Not even sure why i responded to this maybe I am just in a bad mood... oh well.

Around the guild war event, the way bonuses affected the Arena changed. Previously, guild element bonuses and rank bonuses didn't apply to the defender. After the patch(not sure when exactly it occurred), all bonuses were correctly applied to the defender. This resulted in a much more challenging Arena, particularly for non-HC players. If you missed two times(arbitrary number) before the fix, you could have easily won the battle due to the bonus advantage the attack had. After the patch, two misses could be the difference between a win and a loss since the attacker and defender are now on even-ground.
