The best gold you can spend on here. Now upgrade, upgrade, upgrade. Thief posted a tip about this a while back that I found as a n00b and followed. Spent my first $$ ever on a game to get the gold to buy it and upgraded straight to level 10. My LLP has one just from free gold and is on level 5

Mine is level 10 but I shoudl have upgrade it sooner on would have save me some money from getting raid!

I am level 118 and when I got it, my defense went to 302k.

And by the way, look in your profile under "Alliance Defense". Bet you are already getting credit for the upgraded level before it even finishes :cool:

If I have it at level 10, my defense would be at about 450k, give or take about 20k.

Rivals were winning at a 25% ratio against me. Now, I'm hoping it gets to 15% or lower. Now, I can go overvault for a money building and not worry so much.

Agree. Shoot first, ask questions later is not always the best approach... kinda like the guy who bought 200,000 valor worth of GIGN's, but didn't increase his stats...

Anyone have an estimated upgrade time? like 10 days of straight upgrades or whatever

If I remember right, I think it goes something like this:

Level 2 24 hours
Level 3 30 hours
Level 4 36 hours
Level 5 48 hours
Level 6 60 hours
Level 7 72 hours
Level 8 84 hours
Level 9 96 hours
Level 10 108 hours

The build time is 10 seconds and the upgrade from level 1 to 2 is like 14 hours or something. I don't know what my building upgrade time reduction is.

I know that it increases by 12 hours for every level from at least level 4 onward. Just don't remember what level 2 and level 3 were exactly.

Basically it's gonna take you around 3 weeks to upgrade the whole thing, plus a couple days or so.

Ya, but I suppose it's well worth it. The last 10 enemy attacks have lost against me, so everything working well.

My Composites finished upgrading and now upgrading from level 2 to 3.

Does anybody know if the rewards for World Domination events and Tournaments stack for factions that make the cut? For example, does a faction that ranked top 1500 get both the top 1500 and top 4000 rewards?

This may be a dumb question to many, but I truthfully have no idea. When you purchase a building with gold, do you have to pay gold to upgrade it? Or is it just cash like everything else? Looking into investing in the composite factory, but I don't want to give more money to GreeD after I buy it, if I can help it.

For those who have never bought a Gold building - they build level one SUPER fast - most under 5 minutes! Then their upgrade times seem to be way shorter than cash buildings - but to answer your direct question: All upgrades on Gold buildings are done with in-game cash - no more gold is required :)

EDIT:

Now for some advanced advice on these buildings:

1) Composite - MUST HAVE! Buy it and upgrade to level 10 ASAP!
2) Best ROI Gold money buildings (IMHO) - Geo Thermal (upgraded) / Diamond Mine
3) Worst ROI on Gold $$$ bldgs - Water purification / Solar Array / Bio-dome
4) Defense Flight Drone: Best defense option once you have 5 mine fields! :P
5) EMP's Defense - get them when you can :)

Just some advice - others may have a different opinion :)

I bought it bit later after i started this game. Best boost building in this game. I am on Level 99 with over 300k defence.

its a good move it would allow you to dramatically increase defense but at the sacrifice of high powered units i would choose to build the composites factory
