Guild War - Game Crashes

Tried three times to start a war, game crashed each time.

Someone else in my Guild managed to start one and I got a pop-up screen (Guild Battle Started!), but four more times I tried to join in (hit Go!) and the game crashes.

Pathetic.

The EXACT same thing happens when I click on tjhe ''members'' tab in my full guild. Please fix both these issues Gree, they are HUGE.

I encounter the exact same problem! Except mine may have more serious implications for my guild, I am guild master and I cannot start a war. Does anyone know if guild master doesn't have to start a war? Also, I can't demote myself, cause same thing-- it crashes. They told me to re-install the app, and closed it, but that didn't work, and tbey haven't replied to my re-opening message. Who else is furious at them???

I managed to get 2 fights.. "only" crashed 5 times trying to get into those fights.. Should be called "crash and burn" or "lag and crash"

We experienced tons of crashes and many players still cant get a single attack in. WTH -- wise one: is anybody working on performance issues?

It's not a performance issue, it's a simple matter of the game being BROKEN.

over 25 players couldn't get in for us. My game hangs on the banner now. It crashed every time I tried to attack but it still took away my energy. We want our freaking gems back not to mention the points in war. 25 plus players times 6 hits times 300 points X gems = a crap load of points per battle! How is Gree going to compensate for this one I wonder? Please fix this! we have only like 10 people able to play. The fact our second guild is ranked 2nd because they have less devices crash tells you how big of a difference this is making in the guild wars. It is not about the strength of the guilds any more. It is just about how many players have a functional device. At least give us a fair chance to play. If Gree doesn't do something to fix this quickly and compensate us, I am done.

Yes, and it's not just the guild wars. We're all losing out on Epic Boss kills and Arena victory points as well. What a waste! After all the excitement and anticipation of getting ready, this is a major let down. F minus.

I am in full agreement. It does seem like they're doing something to it right now, the whole guild/wars interface is gone for the time being. But there needs to be some major compensation for me to even consider wasting my time with this game.

Android doesn't have guild wars yet. They are safe (for now :P )

The question is how many servers did they provision for this, and how many people all logged on for the first ever guild war launch. I'm as frustrated as the next person who didn't spend gems, but no one who has been around the block should be surprised. The industry leader couldn't get launches right for at least five years.

Did a hard shutdown on my iPhone. No more crashes. Could be a fluke but worth a try. I couldn't even get into the game.

Most software organizations with any maturity don't release on a Friday. Things like this will happen, and I can tell you from first hand experience it sucks to be working the weekend unnecessarily.

This release feels incredibly rushed for no real reason, without a stress test (which admittedly my own, fantastically larger organization nearly released an app into the wild skipping that step until a few of us said no way in hell), and incredibly poor response.

My own client keeps crashing trying to make a data request to a non-critical portion of the game: namely, trying to load a notification screen. It's like running logging on a production app server, if that's what's causing the issue, just turn it off or stub out a dummy response in this case that can be easily served from the current infrastructure. Not hard, but most of the people who were any good at this (operations infrastructure scalability in this instance) got out of the industry.

Sadly this sort of thing is going to become more common as time goes on from Gree and everyone else.

I don't see why you had to insult the someone else and their guild. There's honestly nothin wrong with everyone being able to declare. If you can't control when you want and don't want your guild to declare, then that's your own fault. You had no right to call someone else a worthless player just because they find this option for everyone to declare more flexible.

Sorry Charlie, but your math is slightly off. Unless you are spending gems, you aren't going to get 6 hits per battle from every member. You still need to recharge at some point, so if you do get 6 hits in one battle w/o gems, it will be almost 2 more battles before you are full again.

Nothing wrong with my math just your assumptions and mine aren't the same. With full energy, you can get 6 hits per battle guaranteed. You are probably doing back to back battles which would be why you think the math is wrong.

Yup, I assumed wrong. Your math is correct every battle, if you only battle every 2.5-3 hours.

I crashed 10 times in 8 minutes during a war yesterday. I mean, come on. There is a reason there are beta testers in the other gree games, too bad they can't do that for KnD instead of using all the players as beta testers.

There a new update. But i don't think this fixes the GW problems since it must have been submitted many days before the GW. Didn't Apple have a long review period?

You're right, the update did not change the crashing behavior at all. The only thing they've done to alleviate that is push updates. Granted, I was able to play (kind of), but buying energy and then losing it to a crash is INFURIATING.

I am hoping for a major update/overhaul before the next war. If I see ONE crash in the next war, I am quitting on the spot. And I am definitely not about to buy and iPhone 5 just to play this silly game.

Bottom line: I've never been more disappointed with Gree.

It's been mentioned lots. How many people are going to update their phones for this game? You have to be crazy or have way more money than you know what to do with. Not the case over here =/
