So here we sit. Pushing our way up toward top 150...maybe 200 or so...not bad considering we don't have any powerhouses. Been a good team effort. We have a Great War, settle down, start another to regenerate and maybe win a few defensive points or score a bit early on....and we get paired with Thief and them...VFF....I'm not sure there is enough band aids for the carnage that's about to ensue. Lol.

But how in the world does a top 250 team whose top guy is in the 450k range get paired with a top 10 team with most guys in the millions?

Believe me, the higher team isn't any happier about it, as it tends to lead to lower points, or in some cases better to just sit it out, than to waste gold. Not too fair to either one.

Yes I agree with Speed ump he is right. Higher level higher stat players have to spend twice or three times more to make the points they normally get if they had attacked someone higher than them.

We've tried and tried guys closer in stats, higher level, etc. But almost without fail it goes back to level as what determines our points. It seems like it is totally irrelevant to the battle points you would get (higher lvl, rank, close defense). We had a couple high level guys they teed off on. If be curious when thief or Mcdoc get on to see what type of WD points they got.

From what I saw, you can attack, but the score does not go up. Then soon after gree fixed at least the points and I saw it to up over a mil despite ferr not being in battle at the time. Happened to sp3 and mggurt1 too. Original pun wasnt finished with one battle for but a minute, then suddenly were matched with another sup. spontaneous matching.lol. And most times we would have loved that. Even though we had not yet declared, we were just congratulating each other on a nice battle.

Trust me - YOU have the upper hand in this situation. At level 230 with 1.4 million attack - I can get 350 to 430 WD points per hit when I attack someone in SUP (insert number here) or Ferr who is level 250 with only 950k to 1.2 million stats - perfect situation - 250 player with less defense - but close enough to be a nail biter (200k swing).

So we love the "hobbits" in the Top 10 - players who have level 250 but less than 2 million defense - THOSE guys are the gravy train for the rest of the Top 10 teams - but in your case - you have a better chance to find a "weak link" in our team if you can just get over one person's defense - and prob score 300 or more WD.

BUT - for us - if your top player is only level 205 and has only 400k def - we would be lucky to get 190 WD points - and that ain't worth a Gold refill :/

Like Speed said - it's equally unfair to both teams. But I must say - the way WE understood the mechanics of the team match-ups - we thought it had something to do with the combined total stats - or perhaps "average" stats for your team - which is why early on - Faction battles helps everyone in Top 10 spot hackers when they had 5 million defense (back when 700k was considered uber) and that one hacker player screwed the whole team with these kind of match-ups. I am not sure if that is still a factor - but when we face a team so low in the tiers - we usually do an aggressive scout for "the hacker" who caused them to get matched up with us.

I'm not saying you're harboring a hacker - but if you keep seeing these impossible match-ups - maybe you should scout your own team for who might be over-inflating your team stats.

EDIT: As I am typing this - we are against a team FULL of hackers with prizes a level 55 player couldn't possibly have - so my hacker hiding in your midst theory must carry a little weight. Note to Insignificants team leader: Look at "jackpot's" inventory and then you will see why you got matched up with VFF. Level 55 - Over 1 million defense - and I only got 109 WD points - hacked and screwed :/ 29 GFT Golliath Tanks (LE Set Rare bonus prize with 2213/1476 stats) 30 Advanced AI Drones (LE Set Rare bonus prize with 2251/1478 stats) - come on - REALLY? That would mean that he would have at least 200 LE sets to go with each of those - and it don't look like that's the case.

So - back to your OP - there be hackers about!

Mcdoc, I check the stats of team members probably 4-5 times a day during battles...mainly just to see who is where for scouting, etc. Unless there is a display glitch that won't allow me to see what their stats are, the highest listed unboosted stats I can see in my faction are in the 390k attack range. Boosted he is mid 400s. We post screen shots of pretty much every attack for scouting, so I get to see what they see there. It was just one war that we got top 10....y'all. We have gotten a couple top 100s and a few top 50s, but we've been in the 150-200 range for most if the battle, so I guess that is to be expected. I think we just out kicked our coverage this battle and jumped 200 spots due to a merge with 6-7 really active guys who wanted to use a bit of gold. It is catching us off guard because we're actually having to do in depth scouting to get 1-2 targets per war. Most of us are in the mid 200s stat wise and that is a tough place to be in with those stats.

On another note, y'all crushed two of our guys for about 2200 hits. Lol. 880,000 points later, I felt like I needed a shower. Lol.

Casting aspersions is a raw talent of yours I see. I use 'raw' in the true definition of the word here.
Allow me to add some refinement to your craft. Having only taught math and science for the duration of my teaching career, I will humbly try my hand at modeling a more apt delivery of what should have REALLY remained a soliloquy.

To commence, allow me to offer some advice to further your studies:
1) Sentences begin with capital letters.
2) The rule for utilizing commas in the context you intended is incorrect. Commas are used to separate three or more words in a series or list. It is NOT correct to use three commas in a row. Usually, the proper punctuation to complete your particular thoughts would be a period. Although I am inferring that you feel strongly, so an exclamation point, used sparingly, wouldn't be entirely inappropriate.
3) Your and you're have different roles. 'Your' is a possessive word- a word showing ownership. I.e: Your grammar and punctuation need some work. The previous sentence using 'your' shows that you own your grammar.
'You're' is a contraction. It is formed from the words you and are. I.e. You're probably going to get banned for that post.
4) Trader and traitor are what we call homophones. They may sound alike, but they have different meanings. Sneaky little devils, those homophones are.
5) Sentences require subject. 'Think you nasty and stuff ' is an incomplete sentence.
6) While you conjugated the word 'laugh' into its proper tense, (good job btw!), you should have dropped the 'e'. Not sure where that little 'e' came from.
7) "we take you all and will be all alone with Ferr and ripper." This sentence, construed as-is, seems to imply that you will take all of Ferr's members and then YOU will be all alone with Ferr and Ripper. If that's the plan, then I sincerely hope you are a true female. Otherwise, that's just a bit creepy.

Not complaining when ur competing for top 10 you have to beat the best just wonder who is facing these top 250s and 100s if its not u guys. Back on focus to address some of the comments here. I feel that when recruiting, unless the member in question is able to spend a massive amount of gold, recruiters should be aiming for the lower levels (under 200) with higher stats, or high with appropriate level to defense ration. Allow me to elaborate.

My fuzzy logic that equates to a strong player is as follows:
Levels 100-150 should have a minmum defense equivalent to 4x their level.
Levels 151-200 should have a minimum defense equivalent to 5-7x their level.
Over level 200 should ideally have at least an 8x or more defense to level ratio.


Although my own stats barely meet my own standards (level 195, 1.2 defense), I still maintain these standards to define a strong player. Even with the aforementioned level and stats, I am able to procure over 400 points per hit from players sporting a 230+ level and <1 million defense.

However, Gree math is more of an enigma than my own invented math, so I remain, like the rest of you, befuddled.

That makes NO sense. We have no choice with whom we are matched. Did that team have 3million on their overall WD score that we 'ripped off' of them?
Yes, your statement holds the penultimate veracity. We choose our matches, and avoid picking a match with top 10 teams. We have the list of factions right now, as a matter of fact, and we are making sure we pick a top 250 team that has 2million WD points so far. We are hoping to rip off 3million from them too and create the risk ever negative WD scoring team.
I'm sure your faction, Mr. mcGurt, will certainly stand down from scoring points if you find that you are matched with a weak team. How noble!
We, on the other hand, fight WARS. If this was "My Little Pony" I'd feel extremely ashamed of stealing the other ponies' rainbow-shine powers. But alas, I see no sparkly ponies.

We just faced a top 5 team earlier. The Gunners. Not going to complain. But it does kinds suck a little bit when your only a top 300. I guess that's just the way it is though. Hopefully the couple hundred thousand points they got off of us helps them in the long run!
It does seem as though this even a lot of pairings were off. Hopefully that changes soon. Doubtfully it will though.
