Basic reward is Volcanic Mantle, a 50ep armor, so that's nice.

Quests
1) 5 consecutive wins
2) 7 wins wearing water armor
3) 8 shutdown wins of opponents with at least 3 win run

I see Sir Hakkins is making a run for #1 this week, after coming second last week.

The problem with being a low level and maxing out your double down at the begginning is after that, you have to fight 100s.

Naturally. The first 100 is now dominated by:

1) Guild Masters (20% att/def boost)
2) Guild Sentinels and Champions (15% boost)
3) High Commanders (10% boost)
4) Moonpie Armor wearers

If you're not in one or more of those categories, or a beginner who only has to fight other beginners, top 100 is now out of your reach unless you pay $$$, or use every point of energy effectively at least 20 hours a day.

I realise now how I got a bronze medal in my second tournament without really trying. I only had to fight others at my level, and I had better developed armors so I won more. At aome tipping point (I'd be interested to know what it is) you get thrown into the main pack, fighting people with maxed out Epic+ armors and massive boosts.

I am high commander, but still is very tough because I see people having lot of points, more than the other times

The guild bonuses aren't applied to the players on defense. So there really isn't any difference in attacking other players. HC+ people can be less careful, but you shouldn't be losing much anyways if you're in the top 100.

this is true, but this time I noticed that the window in which you pick random opponents is almost gone.
Now I can fight only with people of my same rank and this makes things very hard when you have to get DD

Was on vacation for a few days, so I could only do 2-3 sessions of 5 per day, but 100% doubledowning kept me in ribbon 3-4. Now I'll have to see if I can get to ribbon 1 in the remaining time...

I've been doing double downs all week as time permits, only messed up a couple, and I still can't progress much above 50th place. I feel like I'm running to stand still.

I keep seeing the same opponents so it's easy to pick the ones I know I can safely beat, and I'm getting 350-375 points per double down, but I can't see myself making Silver Medal without spending gems for energy, and I'm just not going to do that.

I've been trying from the beginning again to try to get as high as possible, but it really takes so much effort.

I can beat a good few players above me in level, and I'm about level 90 now and Im currently struggling with getting below rank 2000. I think IF i do the friend list extra battles I can get about 1400 again but I'ts probably gonna take a while before I can get <1000 xD

Edit: Just found out I'm a guild champion now lol. so 15% bonus right?

you are in a good position. This time I will miss the bronze after 3 weeks even though I got more point than previous weeks

I just reached 100 and i see lots of good armored challengers. I feel very very strange that i can win 4/5 battles whit crius, living flame and atlean setup. I'm struggling at 500 this time.

Probably too many people swapping in epic boss armors before they are leveled beyond big four stats.
I'm doing pretty OK with AA+, LF+ and Swamp+ (woke up to rank 350 @ Android, probably able to get to ribbon 1 during the day) . AA+ and LF+ munch on 1 3/4 - 2 1/4 dragon armors, then Swamp+ finishes it off.

At one point was only two places behind you and I was like, "Hey Marco!" Yeah I have also been tearing through people who use epic boss armors before they are maxed.

As soon as I got promoted in my guild I've been winning non stop even at that rank. Currently 40 winstreak and havn't lost one match at that level while my highest/lowest rank so far has been 1500 xD

Android fortunately doesn't have the arena wrecking guild leadership bonuses yet.
I'm currently about 320 and if I friend battle about 150 people a day, I should reach ribbon 1 easily, but I just don't feel like doing that for about 3x 45 minutes. I'll just stick to holding on to my ribbon 2: 5 gems and a 50 EP armor is at most 1 euro in value and then I'd rather spend that than friend battle for more than 2 hours right now.

I prob. barely make ribbon 1 this week.. like marco says it is hard to reach the top.. even with the better armors it seems you must invest alot to get top 100

Good armors, good order of armors, and not losing double downs will get you top 100 if you don't use friends list. Using friends list just makes it too easy.
