I thought this might be helpful, it simply shows the total score in Australia for each rank (up to 100), and how much that is per person, given a faction size given across the top. Hopefully will help your factions manage expectations:

It does show you that Top 100 is attainable with a committed team with minimal gold.

As an additional piece of analysis, here are likely scores vs amount of gold used, maybe this will stop the people who claim to be able 300k with one vault of gold:

Great Post Jon!

Many Don't understand why there are fluid goals to hit WD points when joining a team. When someone hears that you should score 300-400k WD points for top 10 they need to realize those are simply the average points each player needs to put up to keep the team on track.

I hate to say it but this also shows that top 10 is more about pride than the prizes at this point looking at the score gaps.

I'm surprised at the small gap between some of the prize tiers.

I would say top 75 should be attainable for any light gold faction (if they are organized, share information, have higher than average stats)...then again what is "light" gold for something that occurs every 3 weeks?

Its excellent info Jon. Thank you for sharing with the community.

Wow, for £300 each BfC I could be in a top 10 faction! Kudos Jon.

I have been curious if the 1 mil stat players get more points hitting each other. 400-450 is the most I think I have seen, but can they get 600+ hitting each other?

450 is the maximum WD points you can get (if you're lucky)
It apprears that if a player is 50+ lvls higher than you then you can score the maximum points.

Nice post that shows how every one on the team needs to contribute to keep your spot. Liking the add on of gold use too. we have all seen someone saying they can get crazy amounts of points with little to no gold.

I get about 200 points a hit. That's about average I guess. Sometimes, the point system is rigged.

Cheers jchow. I did it for Australia but it's not really sustainable. I'm happy with what our band of brothers do.

Even top 25 seems to be a little about pride, 3.5mil gap for 1 more unit!

But top 1/2/3 gap are even worst so I stop complaining lol

Yes and no...
I always hit players 50-100 levels above me and its so common in Australia that I score only 250 points off them.
I believe rank of opponent u defeat plays a part in the wd points earned tool similarity to the BP.

Jon excellent addition on the possible outcomes of a Vault of Gold. I usually tell people who aren't lvl 250 that they can score 75k points per vault on average.

Yea i guess it depends on the war and the prizes. You figure top 25 has to pay an average of 1 vault more per player to not be top 50. Some would argue the unit is worth the Vault of gold (some of the events i would have to agree).

Rank may or may not be a determining factor. Unfortunately you don't see your opponents rank during WD events. I've had the luxury of knowning some of my opponents rank to help determine a base and i can't find a direct correlation. (doesn't help that i can score 200 points at the same time i score 450 poinnts)

Another factor may be Player Fatigue. When everyone is hitting the same target that target has a tendency to pay lower points. In many instances i've found that if i go after a target that might not be as popular my payout is higher.

Another factor (although this one may be accounted for with player fatigue) is ther is a "sweet spot". Go for players that are 50 lvls above yours. Trying to hit someone that is 70-100 lvls higher than you will result in lower points on many occassions.

Gold use depends a lot on your level and so on I average around 106k points per vault and that includes very few free hits and a few wall hits. Also the scoring of WD points follows a pattern even if the guy is level 250 with 3k defense if every person on your team is nailing the same guy you aren't guaranteed a 450 point hit. So I would go for the level 237 2k defense if everyone else is hitting the level 250 guy as like thief mentioned 50 levels above my level will yield me a 450 hit every now and then.

You can't just focus on the extra unit, you must also consider the boost that goes with it. That 3%attack boost that goes with top ten is pretty enticing

Nice post.

3% attack boost across all 4 unit types is a big jump up from a 5% single unit type boost. One could argue its the same as getting a single unit type 12% boost.

Could someone work out the % increase on gained boost for 25th and 10th? and then apply that to money spent to at achieve the respective rank in order to get the unit?

I bet its pretty similar but top ten gets the extra unit.

Some one get out the calculator!

Also dont forget the last war was a very high top 10 score, im going to guess that top ten gives better stat and bonus for your buck than top 25. Would love to know.

Don in ratio im almost positiv that top 10 cost more for % than top 25 and also top 25 from top 50 ... after that hard to guess cause you can probably be really active with just a little gold.

But it depends on the value you give to those units, lets say that top 25 prize is a collect than and top 10 prize is a auction best 250, would you spend that kind of gold for those 2 events as you do in WD... if so, fine I look more at what I resive for gold spend and found the happy middle for me!
