Similar to this, i present to you Thomas' Law. As a thread on a Funzio forum continues, the probability of the thread beng derailed by trolling, allegations of cheating, or derogatory arguments approaches 1.

You can't always put an exact number of pages on it, but every thread will go off topic at some point. For instance, this one wont take long at all. Sometimes it's the topic, but other times a seemingly benign topic will turn cancerous.

A good OP can mitigate trolls by being a good thread manager. There is the factor of the userbase, but one must learn how to deal with it.

The best community and thread manager possesses traits of a troll. You must predict their behavior before they strike and modify it.

Rule of thumb: do not feed the trolls.

KotF was banned by CJ for no reason even though Sirius lifted the ban and he posted nothing that violates any rules after the ban was lifted. CJ deleted the threads that had 2 key pieces of evidence to this. In 1 thread, Sirius said it himself that he lifted the ban, in the other, KotF started a thread thanking Sirius. CJ deleted both threads, getting rid of the evidence. Getting rid of evidence is a serious crime and we will be protesting again later today.
