Last quest you could get it from raids, battles and active quests. Ive only been able to get boxes from active quests. Does anybody know if this has changed from the past or maybe it just hasn't been worked into the former two paths of getting boxes?

Then again, there's a lot more gems/money in sucking people into box events than anything else.

Nope, Amigo. Consider that it is NOT incremental (to get #10 guild has to add 1025-780=245 doubloons)
Free players can make 10 each quite easily and free/gold. I.e. more than 500 for all 50+ members guilds. Each gemmer makes 30+ doubloons. Easy math. Quest done.

Actually it takes about 15,000 gems per 50, so that's at least 165,000 gems, not to mention refills of energy

If I got a 50% doubloon rate past 20 of them I'd be /dancing. The 150k is more likely correct. The problem is that you can't spend them that quickly without showing on the board. At least 15 seconds per gem open and per reset timer. Sometimes 30 seconds. That's 2 or 3 boxes a minute. I'll leave the rest to you.

Cuz I'm almost certain you can't even spend that amount of gems that quickly, and no amount of hacking other than blatant server side hard wired hacking is going to force server connects faster than that. this quest sucks. my guild work around the clock to open boxes and if every player manages to collect 25 (which never normally happens as a free player) we will have 700 doubloons. If a hacked guild of 60 members... or even 62 as I have seen before wishes to collect the suggested 1025 doubloons it will be around 17 each. Easily achievable.

yet again give hackers the benefits, make the strongest stronger and the gap between the top and bottom guilds grow even larger. With GREE's plans to stop campers... soon enough everyone will be level 200 and there will be much crill in the ocean for the whales. so many people are going to quit this game.

Have others have had this problem? I heard from other guild member of this problem. Had it four times already. Mine has (luckily) always been fixed with three-four complete restarts. Still it is annoying to do this over and over again.

Problem is indeed, there always will be players who will pay the price for everything what GREE comes up with.
A total boycott would be the only solution to help change GREE's mind.( but we all know that will never happen) or maybe a real online discussion with the GREE management people.

For the good of the game, it are the only solutions. It's just not ok, that GREE abuse their position. GREE knows that when TOP guilds ( and some lower ranked guilds) would start a real boycott, there always are other guilds who want to benefit from that..just because of that we all loose except GREE....

After a half year or maybe one year, this game is only for the people who want to spend money in it, the free players slowly start searching for other games in which they have a chance for positive results., there is no fun in a game when you can't win a fight anymore, because all other (light)gem players have much higher stats!

I'm around lv.140 and I see many players with stats of 250K~350K, while in the received guild requests there are already so many players floating around lv.50~80 with similar stats ..., obvious that the lv.140~150 players with these low stats, soon will be food for these small sharks..

Hi, when the chest sign disappear from your screen, my experience is that killing monsters will not lead to any drop. At least this was what happened to me. Exit and went back in, chest sign appeared and killing monsters lead to drop as per BAU. Wasted half of my energy bar not to mention the unwanted XP. Do avoid this ... (I.e. Killing monsters when the chest sign disappears) ...

This was a Gree fiasco. The score of 549 was from three box events ago. The player himself submitted a ticket to Gree to point out their mistake and now the letter board reflects that.

Yesterday my game glitched like it did, and has, for so many players. I've closed and restarted the app several times since and although I seem to be collecting chests and opening them with no problem I haven't received a single gold dubloon since that glitch, 10 chests opened using gold. It may be that I'm having the worst misfortune I've ever had during a case event but was wondering if anyone else is having unusually high difficulty coming across gold dubloons?

Gree developers , if you are expecting more people to be interested to pursue this guild quest, and box event, the drop rate granted you can make it tough, however, for those who are using gems to to open the box should really get more incentives than 75H or 2500 gold.. That is a ridiculous low amount for a gem spender. I am switching to rusty knife .. Not worth the money spent..

Other than the glitch aspect, this has been my experience with box events from day one. Probaly less than a 20% open rate. I have gone on stretches as long as 24 "sorry, try again laters" in a row.

do you have the event icon?
no event icon = no box drops

if you do have the event icon in the bottom corner, try killing any of the monsters in Crossroads, the first map... less XP and less energy for each try/kill

I had a better chance of getting the Gold dubloons during the last Wyrm egg Box event than this.

Opened 12 boxes using all gold, only 1 Dubloon showed up.

I got 2 Dubloons during the Wyrm egg event a few weeks ago...still not repaid of the gems I used in that. Figure that one out.

I had a better chance of getting the Gold dubloons during the last Wyrm egg Box event than this.

Opened 12 boxes using all gold, only 1 Dubloon showed up.

I got 2 Dubloons during the Wyrm egg event a few weeks ago...still not repaid of the gems I used in that. Figure that one out.

This made me LMAO. So true... I got 10-12 Gold Doubloons in the Wyrm egg event. This time around I have 3 so far. LOL

I got a quite low drop on chests this event. Opening goes a bad as usual.

I dont get the added value off this guild quest... It has nothing to do with teamwork... For me this one is not made for players, but an attempt to get ppl to soend gems on something that isnt worth it.

But i like the concept of guild quests in general, very good new feature in the game.

When I first started playing Kingdom Age you only needed to open ten boxes in this type of event. Now it seems the odds of successfully opening a box is tiny coupled with the fact that there is now no maximum to achieve the top prize.

As a free players there is little scope for any complaint, however, I suspect gem players may feel like they are taken for a ride.

At the current rate, Gree will be needing a gambling licence to operate this game. Then again atleast you know the odds at the casino.

It is pretty clear to me that, in the last box event and this one, the drop rate for gold open has been DRASTICALLY reduced. If Gree thinks this will prompt more gem use, I do think it will backlash on them. It does NOT make me want to throw more money at Gree. It makes me want to give up on box events, and I was one of the ones who faithfully opened boxes throughout every one of them. If I DID get a decent amount of doubloons from gold opens, then I actually would consider spending more on a few gem opens to reach the higher prizes.

You listening, Gree? I'm trying to tell you what would both make your customers happier and net you more money at the same time. Customers who feel ripped off / nerfed are not likely to pay you more.

If you think the gold drop rate is bad, don't try the gem rate. Its brutal. I thought about making a top 50 run. Not anymore. Who wants to trade 20 gems for 2,000 gold or 200 honor points 15 times in a row?! In the words of Chris Farley, Whoop de friggin dooooo!!!

Nope duc is right. When these first started there were only 10 and a free player had a decent shot of getting to 10. Missed the devil one but got the raid knight free. There was always an auction for top 1, 25, and 250.

That's right - the first ones were prizes for (I think) 5, 7, 9 and 10 as well as the Top 50/250 auction.

The collect 9 units versions started later. I think the Santa's reindeer was the 2nd or 3rd collect 9 event.

Agreed. Gem to gold doubloon is crazy low so I have 9 and will pay gold to open boxes no more gems on this event for me.

Actually the first box event was The Rune Box (exact name?) and it was only a collect 10 for the Inferno Hydra, no Top 50/250.

I remember this well b/c I didn't get the Hydra & I wanted it soooo bad! It was the first big KA unit!

Thanks for that nice memory. I was amazed that I was able to get that unit as a free player. Do you remember the name of the player that would always win those original boxed events? I remember it was the same player almost every time and then they seemed to vanish.

hmm... it could have been Counter Sniper, he was the first to get the Hydra, I think. He won all of the games a very long time ago, a few months before factions came to MW. (I miss CS dearly!)

It also could have been Kiss of Death; she still plays, I think. She's very busy with RL. (wish you well, KoD!) Or it could have been The One. He finished all of the events before I got them loaded most of the time. Or maybe it was Ghost, who helped many of us in the early days of KA.
