Saw my old threads before so posting one here, haha!
So just wondering, what's your story behind your in-game names in K&D? I've seen strange in-game names around. From really nice & cool names, to funny ones =)
Me, Kings/Leaders have always fascinated me (Good & bad ways). Perhaps "Civilization" game has also influenced me (One of my favorite games to play) aside from LOL ^^
Lotak
07-29-2013, 09:42 AM
I got my name from creating a character in a Final Fantasy game (not online). I have been using it as my IGN for all games where it has not been taken.
Funny thing is, Lotak was not even my main character in Final Fantasy, my main character was my (real) surname.
Usul comes from the book Dune by Frank Herbert. All my knights are named from that great sci-fi book series. If you haven't read them before and you like sci-fi I highly recommend it.
Musketeer
07-29-2013, 10:25 AM
Musketeer is my player name in Book of Heroes.
My toon started as Charon, named after the character in Greek mythology who ferries dead souls across the River Styx to Hades. Then when my Guild Members listing started crashing regularly I changed it to Acharon in the hopes I'd be first on the list and at least be able to see my own toon in the listings. I can't, accessing the listing still crashes the game.
Acheron is a Yiddish word meaning 'last but not least', and also a Sith lord on Star Wars, Darth Acharon.
Jello
07-29-2013, 10:32 AM
My full name is Angelo, but I've had the nickname Jello for awhile (my step-son calls me Jello-Pop). And it's fun to say "There's always room for JELLO" :)
Veloster Raptor
07-29-2013, 11:53 AM
Forum name is based on my car, 2013 Matte Grey Veloster. My knights’ name is based upon my favorite NPC for WoW, Lady Sylvanas which she happens to run my favorite city of UnderCity. I was pro Horde, but realized I had a problem when I would leave work early just to make the raid or the game. I admitted that I had a problem with Wow. This is a nice filler for me, if they had some undead knights that you could play, that would be awesome. You hear the Gree, give us some different races to play with, Undead, Elf...something fun.

He cribbed it from a list of angel names.
Edit: My own is a few hops. I have a history of being an unexpected winner, so, Dark Horse. I played a WoW troll, which speak with a Jamacian accent so Dak (h)Ous. Eventually people made secondary characters and expected people to just know who they were. So I made all my characters permutations of Dak o-u-s. Dak uso, Dak osu, et cet. Time came and went, and eventually I became famous for being a bear, and my Suo became most famous of my permutations, so Bear Suo was inevitable.

IGN is Sagitta, which is Latin for "arrow". Latin has always seemed like a really cool language to me, and I'm a wiz with a bow.

On a hobby forum for Diecast models my username is Alea Iacta Est. I used that for HBook of Heroes for a while, but nobody could remember it.
Matty-cakes
07-29-2013, 05:51 PM
My Monsterquest name is Furball Turner. A long time ago I had a long goatee and a guy at work said I looked like a Furby and started calling me furby or furball. In K&D I am Sir MattyCakes. Matty-Cakes is another nickname I picked up at work from people who were less derogatory.
WarChicken

Drygores is the strongest weapon on runescape. A game I've played for 10 years. Also my name on that game.
KayOrzz
07-31-2013, 02:59 AM
KayOrzz is Chaos.
That aside, Mark is the most awesome name anyone can have. I know because I am.
SoloStar
07-31-2013, 09:26 AM
Soulostar is an artist on youtube with very relaxing music. Probably the best music I've ever heard.
Releastix

I got my name from a friend in a browsergame
Hirro
07-31-2013, 10:14 AM
Forum name: Hirro (just a random name when I created an account here in KnD)
IGN: Cloud ( Character from Final Fantasy 7 - PS1 )
D3athShade
07-31-2013, 07:03 PM
Mine started as BlackShade (on counterstrike, TF2, MMORPG's etc) but after a while i felt like it was time to change so i came on DeathShade but i thought it would look better with a 3 instead of an e so it became D3athShade.
I got the name BlackShade because i always chose stealth above rush etc in most games, always tried to stay invisible in shadows etc so thats how i got that name.
Woggy
07-31-2013, 08:10 PM
Bit of an alteration from my nickname, which is 'Wog'....but previous partners called me "Woggy", and i wasn't sure that Wog would be allowed as most games don't, so i either go Woggy or Wogalito
Started out as JiiMsKi as an XBL name. The lads I played with started calling me JiiMsKi as it kind of rolls off the tongue. As an ex-WoW player they never allowed capital letters through the name. So i just muddled a few of the letters together and came up with Skij. Been Skij ever since. So I guess Skij is my go to username.
BTW, really like this thread idea. Makes a great read!
Dexavus
08-02-2013, 08:37 PM
Like some others in the thread my name stemmed from WoW, when creating my hunter I was scrolling through the random name generator and stumbled upon dexavus, thought it had a nice ring to it so I went with it. After a while most of the guildies started to call me Dex, which is what I use for most games now :)
NickkyDC
08-02-2013, 09:24 PM
Ive had multiple through out the years, usually from a random comment made between me and buddies(i.e. an old alias was 33DegreesCold) My current was because my name is nick, and i liked the way NickkyDC sounded, and was never taken so I stuck with it!
Revanche
08-10-2013, 08:47 PM
Revanche stands for "Revenge" in French
No special reasons why I chose this name though...has been using it since I started online gaming
Was the first original Immortal for anyone who played the Facebook game: Dawn of the Dragon :D
Xslayer
08-10-2013, 10:07 PM
Don't even know how I kept this tag name for so long... kinda just typed it and i've kept it for as long as its available.
Gilfhunter
08-12-2013, 01:36 PM
Usul comes from the book Dune by Frank Herbert. All my knights are named from that great sci-fi book series. If you haven't read them before and you like sci-fi I highly recommend it.
That is an awesome book! I'm not really a big reader; but my father-in-law lent it to me and I loved it...
I have changed my name twice... the first one was Asterson. My older brother who passed away when he was 16 played Everquest and I use to sit right next to him while he was playing for 8+ hours a day... that was his main character's name.
I then changed it to La GiLf... I won't explain the acronym lol. But it derives from my Xbox gt, tehgilfhunter.
Lord Ash
08-12-2013, 10:29 PM
Ash has been my RPG main character name even since the original Final Fantasy on NES... I change the title from squire to knight to Lord as I progressed in game... Debating on becoming WarLord Ash now that I hit level 200
Renegade223g
08-19-2013, 07:04 PM
Renegade223g was my callsign in the military.
I have been using it for IGN's on Xbox and PS3. I never used to add the "g" but I figured since I was always the "Gunner" for my team, I would use it for K&D.
I am slightly embarrassed to say that I did not know you could originally make your own name....I found that out at about lvl 37ish...
Biskmatar
08-19-2013, 10:00 PM
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.
That game was so addicting in middle school, that I decided to replay it this summer.
Biskmatar is a unique job class held by one of the antagonists. Sounded cool so I always remembered it.
Cheers!
Knocknuts
08-20-2013, 10:24 AM
My name is Knocknuts.
ive had alot of name changes. Im also known as Third Eye (they call my turdy) it is by far the longest i use.
Knocknuts is a fairly recent name been using it for 2 years. there is a thread somewhere that they want a username for PSN without underlines, numbers, Xx. Someone gave a pretty good tip to combine 2 words. so i suggested in the thread what i came up with. one of them is Knocknuts (Knock is just random, i may have put my eyes on the door at that time and think of someone knocking. Nuts is just my favorite of all food) i combined them. ever since ive been using it.
people misread my name as Knockouts which sux
