guild declaring stragety

in our guild we have the lost level person at roll call declare war. i have not noticed that it helps any as far as match ups..... has anyone else noticed that it makes any difference?

My LLP has declared quite a few wars and have drawn the likes of KTA, TBC, BGK, Squirrels, Pristine Kingdom, etc. Also drawn a lot of easy ones.

Not sure if it really makes a difference.

For a long time we thought that having the lowest level player declare was the way to go. After several wars of doing this we have completely given up on that idea.

We just treat "pushing the button" as a reward to players who have done something nice for the guild. I usually call it in guild chat. blah blah blah. and xxxx push the button.

sometimes you can declare and battle, but I doubt it will count for the guild quest as a win if the battle is not a completed in the hour.

Our guild got the 15th win as the event expired, we started the war with 49 minutes left in the event. We were ahead when the event ended so we got the win.

I have a feeling you can declare if there's over 30 minutes left on the clock. Whether a long wait to be matched bringing the time available to under 30 might cancel the declaration remains to be seen

I declared with 9 minutes to go and was told it was too late to declare. I have declared 50 minutes before the end and it allowed us to enter a battle, but cut it off with 10 to go. Not sure where the cutoff is, but 30 minutes is possible.
