What happens if no GG is appointed for the battle ?

What happens if you go into this battle with no GG appointed ? Our founder has gone missing and hasn't elected a new GG after our last one left . Can we elect someone once the battle starts or will be actually able to fight ?

You can fight but you will not have Defence hence a lamb to the slaughter ! Ask Gree support quick to allocate new founder
