I never get bent out of shape when I don't get shiny things meant for big spenders only. Honestly I'm glad it will only be one person with this modifier instead of half the game because I'm not paying for it no matter what.

I had the same thought... I'm usually trying to save money as fast as I can so I can afford the next upgrade as soon as the current one is done. If I could do two at once, I'd just be doing sub-optimal upgrades because that's what I could afford at the time.

I agree. Honestly I think if they had set it for the top 250, they could have gotten even more money. Because then a lot more people would think they have a shot, and spend a lot more accordingly. By putting it at the #1 prize, very few people will go all out thinking they can get it.

I have decent IPH, but not enough to make this mod a must have. Not spending gold on this event, but will open cases in hopes of getting 15 or even 20.

...is that whoever ends up winning this will not need it. To win this item, you'll need to spend at least $1,000 real world cash on buying gold to get all the cups - it will be more competitive than normal given the item.

But that person will almost certainly be someone with level 10 casinos, level 10 nightclubs, pagodas, etc, because to them money is no object. Why do they need to upgrade 2 buildings at once? At this point in the game, to them, money is really no object - they are probably already generating at least $100m a day.

As for the rest of us 99%, we are disadvantaged if an item like this becomes available within the reach of the 10% who spend money on gold. Then it becomes a problem as the game balance is massively disrupted, as it was when they intro'd the first modifiers, the emerald burner, exec coupe, explosive dice, etc.

It does not affect us if 0.00000000000000001% of game players can upgrade 2 buildings at once.

One final point worth bearing in mind - given the lesson we learned from the Exec Coupe debacle, this won't be the only time this mod is introduced. The person who pays out to win this one item is likely just getting a head start - a period of exclusivity where they and they alone can upgrade 2 buildings at once.

Well look at it this way. GREE is run by a bunch of coders who have made a popular product. They're not marketing/business experts.... so they're stumbling along in the dark via trial and error with that part of the business. Announcing this awesome bonus that everybody needs and then bringing it out in the way is a complete public relations blunder. It is a symbol of a lot of the underlying problems with the company really....a symbol that will be pissing people off every time the pop up add flashes in the users eyes upon log on. my sweetie friend, the 'multiple builds upgrade' is a trump card and gree will make the most out of it. so forget that they will roll out this modifier only once. mark my words, "gree will award this modifier over and again in different events". and, eventually, there will be many with this modifier in the near future.
