I'm sure this has already been painstakingly analyzed, but I have a few questions. Please follow my math.

Money spent on building a level 10 Shiner’s Still.
50,000,000
83,500,000
139,400,000
232,800,000
388,800,000
649,500,000
1,084,500,000
1,811,200,000
3,024,800,000
5,051,400,000
$12,515,900,000 (Total)

Reward:
Level 1: Knee Capper 428/349
Level 2: Bean Shooter 621/415
Level 3: Bent Smuggler 640/784
Level 4: Rub-out Rumbler 1262/680
Level 5: Distiller's Mask 1295/1295
Level 6: Chopper Squad 1852/1515
Level 7: Shine Bomb 2564/1709
Level 8: **** Lid 2124/3185
Level 9: Boom Stick 4015/2460
Level 10: Rum Runner 6475/6475
Total that’s 21276 att. & 18867 def. Gained

I want to compare this to buying Battle M1A1 Tanks
They’re 70 att and 95 def.
$12,515,900,000 would get you 455 Tanks
Or
31850 att
43225 def

This makes me think I’m gona skip these events. Anybody care to tell me that I’m missing something? Like the added advantage of your new money making building out ways the less att and def gained from the special equipment for the event?

I’m thinking TYPE A Buildings all the way and going back to upgrading NC is a better idea after you build these 2 new buildings.

Plz, chime in…

you only get to use 500 of them and as you gradually get into the game your worst item will be like 2k/2k. so dont buy the tanks do the events ;D

Yeah you are missing a few things...
1) not everyone can buy battle tanks
2) maxing out you mafia with tanks is ok but you won't gain all those raw stats (for either tanks or event)
3) one single item at 500/500 is far better then 500 items at 1/1
4) by building and upgrading you are doing what you would normally do but get prizes for

My lowest vehicle is 220, so I'll pass on buying 455 tanks.

And another valid reason to do the LTBs, who didn't get the -30% on upgrades in the last PVP tournament LTQ?

All the above are valid points as to why you shouldn't buy the tanks and as Walsh said you're going to benefit from doing the events in the long run.

Check your inventory and see how many vehicles you have with an attack higher than 70 and defence higher than 95.

subtract that number from 500 and that will tell you how many tanks you need to buy. Over time though they'll gradually get replaced by better items and you'll end up levelling the LE building up so you may as well do it now and collect the prizes.

Those new cash items were effectively obsoleted rather quickly....while I could also benefit from them, the point of long term consideration is quite right.

Better use the cash on the ltb - or upgrade the pagoda's/NC's so you are stronger for future ltb if you cash flow isn't good enough to really get far enough in the ltb.

The payout at Level 10 is $17.25M with no multiplier (I have the + 25%). You can get all the prizes plus nearly buy that tank with every payout or two. The fewer and higher attack/defense items are always better in the long run. In the big picture, I see the LTB's as a no-brainer, and the best value in the game.

Also keep in mind that people have modifiers for building upgrades prices and not items. I get 51% off building upgrades so subtracting that from the total makes it that much better.

First of all, 12,5b is for the two people in CC without mods. 99% has upgrade mod(s). I have -51 and for me, it'll cost 6,2b. The LTB is a building that most likely never comes back. Why don't you get some free items that won't get replaced soon? I'm quite sure that every item from level 5 and higher will still be relevant for me in a year.

Deadwater is spot on. A battle tank is a level based item - you can't buy it before level 165 - and almost no one with stats over 150K buys cash items; stat gain would be marginal. A limited building increases your IPH and that is what you normally do too. It may not always be the best upgrade according to IPH increase/upgrade hours, but at least you'll receive some gold items for in-game cash.

.....but at least you'll receive some gold items for in-game cash.

That's a good way of looking at it too

Also if we get new syn bonuses IPH and cash contributions will be as important as stats for entry into competitive syns or staying in them.

A lot of players didn't get it, and boy were they peeved!(see anyone who overpaid for it the first time) :)

Here's how I look at it. The level 1 prize is equivalent to about 3-4 tanks, depending on your stats. That's equivalent to over 80 million gold. Since the level 1 building only costs 50 million, I've basically gotten 80 million in units for 50 million plus a free building. You can apply the same idea to the building upgrades. At some point, the upgrade becomes more expensive than the prize, which is when would think about stopping.

Good thought but I dont think ne one is goin to do this its always better to have high stat items because u get the most out of the stats. Those battle tanks after about 50 or 100 your probably only getting about half the stats that the item says. And u also dont get the money from the le buildings thats u would have if u didnt upgrade

Buy the tanks, they're shinier!

But you also get money for upgrading the shiner's still, for buying the tanks, all you get is tanks. Lol

You did a good analysis, but you will find this everywhere in CC, you have to decide on short-term vs long-term gains.

Look at RP weapons...

500 Night Vision Binoculars cost 150,000 RP and give you raw stats of 8000 / 8000
vs
15 Assassin's Coats cost 150,000 RP and give you raw stats of 825 / 1890

But unless you are in immediate need of some minor stat boost, Assassin Coats are the way to go.

By your logic, everyone should use the $10 billion cash to buy 133 million trench coats. You might just get 133 million attack and 133 million defense stats. Try it out :D

If I remember correctly, you're one of the big(est) gold spenders in the game, your experience is not typical - even with light/medium gold players thrown into the mix.

My lowest vehicle is 220, so I'll pass on buying 455 tanks.
