As a newb what armors should i be trying to craft as soon as possible?

The big 4 - crius+, hydra hunter+, living flame+ and atlantean avenger+.

I am a bit confused on how to upgrade armors. I have been reading that if you fuse armors together, the resulting fused armor will give you 50 EP.

Is this true for all fused armors like I can fuse 2 Basics together and the resulting armor would give me 50EP?

AFAIK only if it could not result in a craftable level 50 armor, since those are 24 EP.
For ex. if you combine basic water and earth, you'll likely get a Snakeskin.

50 EP Combos:
• Spirit+H2O
• Spirit+Air
• Fire+Air
• Fire+Earth
• Crius + Fire mono
• Atlantean + Spirit mono
• Living Flame + Air mono

edit: and pick the fusion such that the result will match at least 1 element with the armor you want to enhance, or else it will add 40, not 50 to the enhancement... (if I read the spreadsheet right)
