View Full Version : Losing to Rivals with 10-20K less defense than my attack. Glitch fixed, YEAH RIGHT!!

I don't think the most recent IOS update came close to fixing the rival stat glitch.

In this Civic Center event, several of my syndicate members including myself have been losing to people with defense stats that are 10-20K lower than our attack. I have 137K attack and lost to someone with 121K defense. On the flip side, I also beat someone with 171K defense.

In the past events, a 5K swing was not unheard of. But it seems the variance is much worse than ever. It makes things quite difficult during these battles.

Gree, what's the deal!

It's just their way of trying to make the game more interesting and squeeze even more money out of it. While I do agree it is very annoying you can always adjust your strategy to account for this.

137k attack losing to 121k defense!? No way!

That's not a glitch. Try reading one of the other 400 topics that already deal with this issue.

Edit: there's already two other topics dealing with this still sitting on page 1, with even more dramatic titles than yours.

Big Money, I saw your other explanation. However, in previous events, I would have won 4 out of 4 with 137K vs 121K. Maybe that was a fluke, but I just think the variance is greater in this event.

Obviously I am not the only one noticing it, as (like you pointed out) there are other topics dealing with this still sitting on page 1, and who knows how many others. All I am saying is that it is much more noticeable this time than in previous events.

The absolute difference in stats is more noticeable this time around because your stats are probably double what they used to be. I remember taking screenshots when I lost to someone with 1,000 less defense than my attack. Now if I lose to someone with 100k less, it's like, meh, should have picked a weaker target.

137/121 = 1.13 or 13% higher. I would expect to lose 1 in 4 or 1 in 5, assuming no great variance in skill points (which often happened to me when I was a level ~90 attacking level 200+). I wouldn't even dare attack someone with 15% less defense than my attack.

at 137k attack you shouldn't be attacking anyone over 110k if you want close to 100% chance of winning.

Great point on the overall stats thing.. That is probably what it is.. At first I thought you were on the Gree payroll.. But that makes a lot of sense..

In past battles it wasn't much different, you would never have gotten away with a win every time with only 13% higher stats, its been complained about many times before you

I think my best this war was a 27% difference in stats. 13% is nothing.

I believe that you need a 36% advantage for 100% win rate, but sometimes that is not even enough because of the way explosives are factored in. I have lost with a 37% advantage before.
