what u guys think about the tortoiseshell aegis. i only have at 27/70 but would it be worth enhancing? i ask because the defense is pretty solid and from past epics... seems like we get 3-4 hit deaths in the 38-43 levels. n plus u get double elemental bonus (E/W)

Good idea. Just going to use my flowstone and max one set of Cirus+. I am a bit frustrated because not only do I want to max the Cirus+ But also the boss armor to craft the + version for BK+

Yep spreadsheets says combined 1409 for Flowstone, 1490 for Crius+.

Wanted to do level 1 of the boss before going to bed, completely forgot about the epic energy drops and didn't want those to go to waste, so I ended up completing upto level 10. (Crius+ lvl38 survived that one with a sliver of health; will probably be sending in 2 people from level 11, since even if I max that Crius+ , I'm not sure my champion will survive on his own for that level... (level 62 player, Android, so no Guild bonuses))

I did the math for Roc+ versus Crius+ and on the level 43 boss these were my results:
Crius: 554 damage dealt per hit, 183 damage taken per hit (factoring in the double elemental bonus for attack)
Roc: 533 damage dealt per hit, 167 damage taken per hit (single elemental bonus)

Your Mantle will definitely be better than a crius+ and your Roc may be pretty even though some may want to use the Roc as it may allow them to just survive an extra hit or something like that.

Yes, the numbers you see when you look at the knights include guild bonus. Non-android people can look at their friends list and compare people from different guilds wearing the same armor -- you'll see that some of them have higher stats than others.

As if Deva, Wandering, and Eurus increase was bad enough, has anyone noticed Boreas has some new stats? I just started noticing some differences at level 14, but also went to my android account to check level 3 & 4 and noticed some differences too. Seems the defense is higher for Boreas, and then also attack gets higher later on too. Health is different on some levels as well.

For Deva/Wandering/Eurus I had the following for level 3, 4, 14, & 15:

I was able to get to level 13 on just Crius+ maxed. Level 14 I had to go in twice with Crius+. Level 15 I will have to take 2 knights in.

This armor is going to be much more harder to reach 35 with, well, for the first few days. I'm still crafting the + Armor from last week, and this weeks armor is being crafted, too. So 2 out of my 3 armorsmiths are currently being used. Which means I'm only getting a snakeskin per 1 hour 54 minutes. ;_;

Well, since earth/air gives 2x bonus without negative and Nemesis 3x bonus, wouldn't a level 70 earth/air armor be much better that a much squishier level 30 Nemesis for this boss?

I'm finding the Knights attacking Boreas formula within a point or two, the Boreus attacking formula slighty less accurate but still very close, and certainly very useful for predicting when I'll need to add a friend. 19 levels down so far without resorting to using one, and level 20 looks safe.

I'm going to allow for a miss per knight minus one, as far as I can. The misses and bonus hits give far mnore variation than any error in the formula.

This boss though, MUCH easier than the last. I love it. Just can't craft any armor because 2/3 armorsmiths are being occupied from the Eurus+ And the recent boss armor.

Yes, but it also costs 3x the enhancement points to max out. It's not worth crafting it.

But your gold would be better used crafting swamp shamans and roc robes. The epic boss + train might have already left the station, but crafting anything less than a plus is just going to slow you down more. I feel bad for anyone who could not get jian+, can you imagine starting the game now, with the epic bosses getting harder and harder, and all of the storyline armour staying EXACTLY the Same?

Same here... first boss was Sasquatch. However I totally screwed up armors and gold in the beginning. I'm finally getting on track. I have a reg Mantle @ 54 and Reg Jack @ 59. Eurus reg is @ 35 and my first boss plus is Eurus+ which is at 30. I have Boreas reg crafting.

I finally got the big 4+ maxed, working on the bigger 4 with Swamp+ @70, 2 Infernal+ @51 and 7, and just got Roc to unlock + (I know, I got 2 Infernal+ first... drop rate on feathers suck). And only have 2/18 gems for Prince reg. I'm not concerned because I have a Sky Guardian @70, and I just got a SG+ from DPC chest.

Beth and/or cire... I also just got a Flowstone+ from the DPC chest along with Boreas Nemesis. With the dragon bosses and armor, I definitely don't have the gold and mats to start maxing all this stuff right now, but would Flowstone+ be worth getting to 50 to sit alongside Crius+ and 3rd knight with Nemesis? Would anything else I have be better suited for Boreas than the Nemesis? I have fusion stars to level Nemesis in 1 shot if it is worth having. I wasn't too impressed with Deva's Nemesis, but then I was only in the 60's-70's then. I'm 103 now. Thanks for any help...

i just had the best of luck guys first of all i get a barbaria raiding gear in box and glacier in box then i got almost lvl 15 on boreas and when i was gonna craft the barbarian with the glacier i was hopin for storm chaser at best but i actually got a flame hunters garb lvl 3 !!! so happy now and the armor for boreas is awesome missed eurus though:( anyone plays on iphone and has a nemesis with high enchance that can help a lvl 33 pls write me a msg and ill write your code:)

I'm actually finding this epic boss more relaxing than the last few.

Firstly I'm now fully levelled so there's no need to pursue storyline any more, just gather materials. Rewards for further levels are so scant that I'm not pushing for them. Secondly, I'm doing better in the Arena with better armors (and being maxed on stats), havign twice now run up a winning streak of over 60, so it's not such a struggle to get a reasonable ribbon, though I really can't be bothered to put in the work necessary to get into the top 250. Thirdly, I have the right armor (or good enough) at last to fight this particular boss without further development, so armor development can go into planning for future bosses. And finally my Guild has all element bonuses at 7% already, which helps immensely against epic bosses and in the Arena.

It's worth setting up a spreadsheet for each Epic Boss, so you can plan your campaign. Read the whole thread.

Jackelope is a poor choice for this boss as Boreas' Wind hits your water for 50% extra damage, reducing your longevity considerably.
Mantle of the Beast+ is good, better than my Rocfeather+. As you have Nemesis you might as well level it and use it. Just be sure to put it in 2nd or 3rd slot where you can be sure to get in at least one special hit, because by level 43 Nemesis will only last 2-3 hits, and it's still possible to miss altogether (even twice running, thank you Gree)

They are ALMOST useless against anything else. the only one ive noticed to still be usefull is jian's nemesis (wind). im currently using jian armor and crius+ for this epic boss. i dont have a 3rd good armor so im using 4 knights currently @ level 26 ish of epic boss

Just my luck...I opened a single chest with the gems from a good run on free gem videos and got another nemesis. Is it worth building up or by the time the first is done in position #2, would the boss have recharged the critical enough to take the second nemesis down to just 1 hit?

Storm Sorc regular maxes out at 1021/842, and Boreas + maxes out at 1247/1052. So I would assume that your better off waiting and hording materials.

I think most of us are up to 4 knights by 26-28, max crius+ fodder, max SG, max beast+, I plan to use friend with Aegis as fourth knight to help with 28. 3 good armors or not the new defense is definitely gonna play a part in making next few days challenging. I'm just thankful I have a few decent armors for this one

Jian is Fire/Water, against an air/water boss? So you get NO bonus damage, and the boss is doing 200% damage against you? Is that wise?


Managed up to level 30 with 4 knights. It's going to be interesting to see if I can get thriogh the next 4 with just one friend. For 35 and up I expect I'll need two, and a revisit on 42 and 43.

Boreas is doing up to 10 less damage per hit than I am expecting from the formula.

Man Nemesis armors make a huge difference lol. Unlike the last two bosses, some of my friends have Nemesis armors, barely leveled, but they are doing 2000-3000 per hit while my main chars do about 600 lol.

Nemesis is a level 30 armor... but is it considered an "epic armor"? I saw people in the forum saying since it's a level 30, it only takes about 200 EP to level it up. I have 3 50EP armors to enhance Nemesis and didn't want to waste 25k and a fusion stone on a 4th, but I had 2 Snakeskins which would be 48EP - it's really only 194 EP to enhance a level 30 armor so this would have covered it. I figured I would enhance it with the 2 Snakeskin first, then the 3 50EP armors. When I used the 2 Snakeskin for 48 EP, it only brought Nemesis to Level 5 - I was expecting Level 12. Since it only made it to level 5, according to my numbers I am assuming Nemesis takes the same amount of EP to enhance from 1-30 as it would a Level 50 armor then (1540 EP)??? What am I missing here?

As I understand it you can't ever fuse a +armor, even if you've previously fused or crafted the armor and levelled it to get the + version. All +versions of non-craftable armor come from chests, and even from the chests they are rare.

Nemesis is a level 30 armor... but is it considered an "epic armor"? I saw people in the forum saying since it's a level 30, it only takes about 200 EP to level it up. I have 3 50EP armors to enhance Nemesis and didn't want to waste 25k and a fusion stone on a 4th, but I had 2 Snakeskins which would be 48EP - it's really only 194 EP to enhance a level 30 armor so this would have covered it. I figured I would enhance it with the 2 Snakeskin first, then the 3 50EP armors. When I used the 2 Snakeskin for 48 EP, it only brought Nemesis to Level 5 - I was expecting Level 12. Since it only made it to level 5, according to my numbers I am assuming Nemesis takes the same amount of EP to enhance from 1-30 as it would a Level 50 armor then (1540 EP)??? What am I missing here?

I think all Nemesis armors are just called Nemesis armors and don't need another category (Epic), but you can specify which Nemesis, e.g. Deva Nemesis, Jian Nemesis etc, for clarity. I assume you're referring to Boreas Nemesis.

I've never had a nemesis armor so I don't know the EP required to max, but it's possible that they behave differently to regular level 30 armors. If they level like the first 30 levels of a level 70 armor you'd be right on track, and need a total of 1295EP to max out. Ouch. That seems wrong considering you'd need to do it in the first 2-3 days of the Boss to make it worth while.

It's equally possible that Gree have moved the goalposts since the last Nemesis armor; they like to move the goalposts frequently and without warning.

Jian is Fire/Water, against an air/water boss? So you get NO bonus damage, and the boss is doing 200% damage against you? Is that wise?


Managed up to level 30 with 4 knights. It's going to be interesting to see if I can get thriogh the next 4 with just one friend. For 35 and up I expect I'll need two, and a revisit on 42 and 43.

Boreas is doing up to 10 less damage per hit than I am expecting from the formula.

Sorry I was not clear. I meant the jian nemesis. It's a mono wind. It's decent against this guy because the defense allows it to take a few more hits. It's not the best armpit clearly but I am limited in my earth/wind elements :/

I figured my 5th knight who hits for 1052 and crit for 1515 didn't need any help... he missed the last 3 times and died! I was like WTF that is such crap.

Have to agree on the misses. You need some random element or the fights are too predictable, but in the Arena if you miss with your first whack it can change the course of the fight.

Against the Epic boss it's even worse, because you've only got so many attempts before the boss vanishes, so a couple of unlucky misses, especially later in the week, could cost you the materials to craft the armor.

I think the %age of misses is something around 10%, with a similar chance of a critical (i.e. a free special hit for 150% Damage). I haven't counted, but that feels about right. Three misses in a row would thus be a 1/1000 chance, extremely unlucky but it happens to a hundred or so players every day.

I've felt that games with random elements should have some form of player favoring normalization - ie., a miss can happen 1 time in 20 (ie., 5%), but that after a miss happens, the next 19 attempts are assured hits. I'm aware of the statistical drift that something like that would cause, but the flip side is that somewhere, someone is on the worst roll of 1 in 20(^x) series of tears, EVAR.

The same happened to me yesterday.
The boss critted a total of 9 (!!) times in a fight, and I missed around 7 hits... Such a shame, there goed another 4 hours (8 points) :(

Finally hit lvl 100. Looking for others of same level or higher for hitting bosses. Only have 3 lvl 100 or higher friends, the rest are all in their 80s. I'm able to get to boss level 33 with just what I have. So far haven't had any major problems with taking him down (except a really bad match where I missed 12 times total, including all three chances of my only nemesis friend. yikes).

Add me if you need a lvl 100 for next week!! Have about 30 slots still open.

I'm in this same scenario, it helped a lot already having Roc+ done/nearly done. I've been using a somewhat ramshackle ragtag of Starsong+/Roc+/Crius+ on my knights but having them capped got me to 43 earlier than down-to-the-minute on Wednesday, might push for 51 if I can do it without using gems

the crius x15 might be nice for continuing my Flame Shroud+

i used 5/2 and had maybe 700 hp left on the epic boss... waited an hour an a half to get 3 energy points. used one knight. hit him one time n he got to 6 hp. missed the next 2 times n died. had to spend gems!!! so stupid! lol

I do wonder who exactly they think they'll catch with the Nemesis+ schtick. Now you've got 2 days to level it up and use it, and still get only 2-3 hits out of it before the wearer dies. Seems to me a better use of gems would be the 1 gem = critical hit option a few times, rather than 20 gems = minimal chance of the Nemesis+.

Lots of farming, dedication to possibly spend gems, checking your game every few or so hours to fight the epic boss, alongside doing decent in PVP if you are a PVP'er.

I hit a huge lull and I ended up with about 4 million gold, 130 fusion stones and I just couldn't bring myself to farm. I decided I didn't want to craft 3 day armors at the start of the event after discovering the elements of the event's boss and proceeded to unlock all + versions of boss armors I have

it's a small project, nearly done, and it helped that I was finished my armors for this event for the most part, but it got me in the habit of spamming snakeskins

at this point I feel like I'm farming fusion stones though, lol, I'm down to 200,000 gold and 50 fusion stones, and now have capped Starsong+, Jian's+, Jackalope+, and Roc+

Didn't even need to send in a second team. I guess that means I'll probably reach level 28 on this boss. If this line of progress keeps going, I might get my first boss "plus" armor from the boss after the dragon event. :)

Only kidding, gathering materials is sooooo tedious, it's what's going to kill this game for me eventually.

So I'm able to farm KoD epic without any friends - I occasionally spam Snake, but running KoD every time my health is up (and pop one potion on main gives me a use for that pile) - keeps it interesting. After a few weeks, and having three 3 day Armors jamming up my armor smiths, I've got a big backlog of Armors to craft. Hardly optimal, but not boring.

On the level 40 boss. NOW it's getting tough, my 5 knights barely won because the boss missed twice and I was able to randomly crit 2200 and then use SA to finish him off.

Next time I fight him now, he'll probably kill all my knights, and I'll have to wait to use my 2 knights again, last time I did that I barely snuck by with a lucky win. So, if anyone else could add me, it'd be much appreciated. Possibly nemesis or good Earth/Air armor. I'm level 99 with flowstone maxed. :x

If they keep making Nemesis armors about as strong as the current ones, then a maxed Admiral-or-later Legendary armor of appropriate elements will always be better than the Nemesis. They really need to release the boosted Nemesis immediately, as they did for the Twin Jian, to make it worth opening chests.

(At least for high level players... lower levels may hit a stat cap that affects the high-stat Legendary armor but not the lower-stat-but-triple-damage Nemesis armor. I don't know how capping for lower levels works.)
