Great Job Guys!

These walkthroughs are very helpful, It's good to see a 'mini-LTQ' though the prizes are kinda light

anyhow, if any onlookers are looking for a superorganized faction.

Interesting. This is why I don't pre-stage anymore. Shorten the list of units you get, increase the energy requirement for each mission and then stack the LTQ's just days apart so there's no time between, and reset pre-staged missions on a whim.

Mongo

I may be dense, but I still prestage. To me the argument is benefit of prestaging vs harm of leveling up. Especially when you are whacking folks in the combat event. Yes, they are stacking the LTQs together but its still possible to prestage a good bunch of it, esp as it appears here with 12 levels in normal?

to me the argument is doing the LTQs AT ALL vs leveling up. If you're gonna do them and you're not bored with them yet, you might as well stage the maps. My strategy for the last 4 LTQs has been to use all my 2k energy as soon as it's out, wait for confirmation that there are no boost units, then stop. Because if you play the long game, they're not worth it.

Yup thats pretty much what i do. While i'm regening i get to decide if its worth continuing or where the XP is not worth the Units. Then again i'm still below lvl 151. Once that changes it won't matter anyways i suppose.

If you plan on going all the way Prestaging is still the way to go...the benefit is slim but the risk is very little assuming you don't have your prestaging reset.

Usually Im the first in line to peek at the walk throughs and hit these LTQ things with all I got, to include gold. On the last LTQ (yeah I know it seems like only days ago..... wait is was only days ago) I was one of the few that finished (cost me some bucks). I am not sure (enter in GREE name here) that I will finish the LTQs without them at least having bonuses. Why are we playing cheepo's on the bonuses. The heavy hitters are happy to spend their time on the faction wars, crate games, etc. The LTQs were for people like me that just liked to play the game and oh by the way get something in turn (like a bonus).

Thank you so much for your efforts, Pelle!
Gladly followed yr call to adding you as ally ;))

To me, the LTQs in MW more and more become a tedious
row of taptaptapping..
No real objectives, no challenge, no excitement ..

Even compared to mediocre KA events just a disappointment
Kill poor Col roshenko as usual, burn down the same
sat dishes you did four days ago, same huts, same
marketplace same ... yawn..
And receive same 100ish units ..

To me the worst of things (for a game designer/monetizer)
happened..
I'm not angry, I don't complain.. I simply do not care
about the game anymore ..
Perhaps I even forget playing it..

Is it just me or anyone else thinks this is the worst LTQ ever, in terms of gains/energy? Awfully bad!
In terms of excitement, nothing can be more boring than hitting dolls that cannot hit you back, so the only reason to do these PvE LTQs is really to boost stats, reason that is mostly gone if you are a free or concious light gold player.

After that two in attack site, and 3 units so far, I want to appreciate to you for doing this. Reserved for bonus unit information. Holding my breath! This will likely be the last one of these I do, not worth the gold and effort when there aren't any boosts. Most of the peoples like the LTQ detailed Walkthrough game. Thanks for the walkthrough pelle...!!!

Well, I won't complain about the LTQ because I don't play them... I was trapped once :)
They possibly won't do a boost reward anymore...I wouldn't if I were Gree...if I knew that a huge number of players do the prestaging it would be just too simple. The gold is what matters....more prestaging = less gold spent. It's that simple.

I wish someone would post the numbers from the other LTQs and compare them to this one to see if more energy is expended or exp gained than usual per the prizes awarded.

Thanks to the great walkthroughs here
I'm closely tracking the TLQs
in terms of bang for buck.
Always trying to find an optimized mix of
free energy and light gold spending..

Most important is maximizing AverageUnitPointsGained
per EnergyPoint. As we are to pay for energy, it's kinda currency.
Here some figures:
1 Thief Quest gave 0.21 Unit Ponts per Energy.
2 Enemy unknown ("Devin quest") gave 0.14 only.
3 current Outback hunt is 0.17 ..

Mediocre? No worse. Due to the few chapters, the increase
In energy demand is steep. An average free player only
reaches 7/12 in normal. So 4 units only..

Not very much to gain right? Hopefully the other "Limited Time Goal" is better.

Thanks to the great walkthroughs here
I'm closely tracking the TLQs
in terms of bang for buck.
Always trying to find an optimized mix of
free energy and light gold spending..

Most important is maximizing AverageUnitPointsGained
per EnergyPoint. As we are to pay for energy, it's kinda currency.
Here some figures:
1 Thief Quest gave 0.21 Unit Ponts per Energy.
2 Enemy unknown ("Devin quest") gave 0.14 only.
3 current Outback hunt is 0.17 ..

Great assessment. It felt like the devin one to me too.

Though the gains aren't that great, the information is.

Thanks Pelle.... added

No boost

This will likely be the last one of these I do, not worth the gold and effort when there arent any boosts

btw: please add me as ally, went down from 498 to 247 when Gree attached latest "patch"

Thanks for all your work Pelle. I understand the burnout. It's almost fitting that you bow out on the same type of crap LTE that drove Devin out. I wish you the best man. Again, thanks for filling in when Devin left.

If you slice it down, actually you see that it gets very bad for the prizes of lvl7 and lvl10. Lvl7 gives you an yeld of 0.092 only and lvl10 a minuscule 0.057. For this taking into consideration you have to go thru 3 levels to get a prize (if you don't consider concrete and XP as prize). So yes I am done level7 because it was easy, but I will not push to level10. I would go thru lvl10 only if I could complete the 12 levels for free. Lvl12 gives you 0.209, and levels 1,3 and 4 give you and yeld higher than 0.5. Should have stopped at lvl4 to tell you the truth...

@sith absolutely right
There's a big black hole between unit 7 and 10.
Three levels but just one unit.
You had to burn 20000 energy for a 730/416 unit..
Hello?!? That translates into 20 refills a 20 gold,
So 400 gold cumulative..

Compare this with a gold unit from store!!
Or with units from the 3crates..
On an adjusted 400 gold basis the crates give
an average of probability weighted 2200 unit points.

TWICE the yield of unit 10 in the TLQ..
Conclusion: buy crates (even after 50% price increase)

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that the bosses on the maps are not giving out the reward units, just the cash. It has been happening the last 2 LTQ events for me. May also be android problem.

Also thank you Pelle for your work on this

Barracks lvl 7 - flamethrower soldier
Warfactory lvl 7 - leopard tank
Airfield lvl 6 - spectre gunship
Shipard lvl 4 - Cruiser
Elite Training Academy lvl 1 - Heavy Gunner

You need a Seal to defeat Dr Ben Minden in the Capital City which required a level 8 barracks.

Thanks Pelle for the effort. I can see how doing this every LTQ only to find you didn't really get much value out of the effort is a bit depressing.

Like Devin's work, yours will also be missed.

Maybe Gree should add a few bonus units to the first 10 to complete an LTQ just to keep them from a slow death. No one wants to do these for huge xp and a few units.

This was really helpful figuring out if I could make it to end of normal mode. I will with just a few hours to spare. Thanks much!

Thanks very much for the walk thru. After evaluating the payback for completion of Prestige Mode there is no reason for anyone to spend a bar of gold on the chinsey rewards GREE has provided at the conclusion of the Outback Hunt. The amount of energy required in my opinion is ridiculous!! If there was a +3 energy boost attached to completion of the final stage it may be worth it to spend the money on gold for the energy needed but for another 4k/3k weapon, I think not. Come on GREE!! Loosen up the purse strings before you run everyone off, Remember there are hundreds of other games out there we can spend our entertainment dollars on instead of Modern War.
