How do you get your gems

As the title mentioned, how do you get your gems? I do the video offers when I get them. I'm hesitant to do the surveys. I'm also don't really want to purchase gems but the 20% is tempting. But then I read the threads about the dpc not giving good loot. I'm just curious to see what everyone else does.

well i get them from quests and silver chests since we, Belgian players get 1 offer (with luck!) per month... I won't buy gems as long as they don't change the loot of the chests. And thats it...

Yes i get a few offers, I read other people get a lot of videos every day, I am lucky if i see 2 per day of those.

Silver and gold keys, arena, epic boss rewards, sometimes daily gifts, arena intro quest, offers, theres never any video for me but once in a while i get " install this app" offers

What's the best way to invest this scarce resource?
- level my Training Fields to level 3?
- keep 'm to use at a later date to prevent stranding just before level 43 of the epic boss?
- something else?

(don't even have the "Gemspender" 10 gem achievent yet since I'm unsure how to invest them wisely. ;) )

So I spent 20 gems that I got from video offers, which I got 3 in a row today. I got one chest and got Eurus's Nemesis armor. Talk about making me debate buying gems. But I got it on my phone and not my tab. Two different accounts. That is the other odd thing, I can get videos on my phone, but when I go to my tab, I don't get any videos.

I'm on Android, so if you're on iOS, that would be a point of difference.
Whenever I check for video offers and it does the "no" pop-up, I also try again 3-4 times to make absolutely sure one isn't hiding in there. ;)
It seems it has dried up for me, but at 40-45 gems, that was an extra L3 Training Field. :)

I'm in the middle of the same kind of streak as we speak. I usually will get them every 1-2 weeks where I can get anywhere form 40-150ish. Too bad I can then blow through 2 hours of gem farming in about 3 seconds.

Edit: Currently seeing Magic Piano/Celtic Tribes/Hidden Secrets ads in that rotation with a few Scout adds thrown in every so often.

Edit 2: Streak ended. 107 gems. Phone is slowly loading the "You've earned 1 gem for completing the offer screen". Offers continued a few more times with one more 16 offer streak. Whee!

I got bored waiting on my knights to heal so I decided to try the gem offers again, initially I got like 4 Not Available at the moment messages, then finally I got another streak which I'm still on, I'm at 40 gems right now, I guess it really does pay to be persistent. 2nd Streak just ended. I don't think there is any real way they "fix" the offers. I doubt they troll the forums looking for when people are posting about gem offers. There seems to be just as much pattern as there is randomness to them. The last time I had a streak it was 2 videos on repeat for about 3 hours... I just got tired of clicking. This time it was 3 on repeat, with a 4th thrown in every so often. It stopped for about 10 minutes, I tried again, got maybe 10 more, with the same 3 repeating. After that, it stopped again, then started up 5 minutes later with only 1 video on repeat I think about 16 times, then it quit. Doesn't seem like they "fix" anything with it. As far as I'm aware, no one has figured out the pattern or rhyme or reason to how some people get streaks while others get nothing for weeks.

Yea. That was the ''theres a trick with gems too'' thing for me. I usually just press Video offer again, wait till +1 gem pops up and I can then click again. Ive unfortunately never gotten more than 5-6 simply cause the itouch crashes :(

Don't think it really has anything to do with "updates" or people posting on here. Sure, the timing may seem bad, but everyone seems to go through highs and lows with video offers. Most people on here talk about droughts and then hit a big streak once every couple weeks. Hardly ever hear about people getting a bunch every day.

I don't know exactly how Gree's ad system works, but a lot of times advertisers or ad brokers buy a given number of impressions. Perhaps contractually, that number resets at the beginning of the month, which is roughly when we (in the US at least) were going gangbusters on the free gems. Maybe we burned though the allocation and now they're trickling until the next buy kicks in.

That's a whole lot of maybes with very little research on my end, so grains of salt people...

I see the videos through "offers" but I have yet to manage to get a single gem because the vides and other offers always crash my iPod touch. One time I got partway through the Taco Bell survey (I've never eaten there in my life), then the app crashed.

I'd still give it a go past 5. Takes what, 5 seconds? I've started many a streak after a ton of "no offers available" screens. Set your hands/thumbs up right and you can just jiggle the phone or tablet back and for and hit "video" and "okay" until something pops up.

Yea ever since the new boss came out I've only gotten like 2 video offers since then and that's it, before that I was getting over 20 daily. I think this was done on purpose to increase hype of their gem "sales"

I've been getting less gems since this week's boss too. I always seem to get them around the evening time, i'd say anywhere between 5-10 a day. The way these video offers appear seems very random, it's always the same videos over and over.

The videos are definitely buggy, I know they attempted to a fix not long ago to patch the bug that gave out endless videos, because a flood of free gems is definitely bad for business. I'm sure they'll patch it again soon to make it less buggy and to stop delivering the same video over and over, but assuming it's far from their number one source of revenue I'd imagine it's not too high on the priority list.

My record for one round of ads was 200 gems, when I first realized you could just click past the "There's no more offers" message and keep going 50 wasn't outlandish at all... They seem to have changed it with the last couple updates, and now I'm lucky to get 2-3...I think they'll eventually update again and find a better middle ground.

Gem offers seem to vary by platform (iOS, Android) and geographical location.
Although I've also read about a person getting very different amounts of offers on his tablet and phone which were both iOS...
Europe on Android seems to be pretty terrible... :(
Maybe we should start a topic where people list their platform, location and gem rate per week (plus maybe device type: phone/tablet?) to see if there are any patterns.

Same for me. Nothing for a week, then randomly 15, then nothing for the next couple of days. I'd like to know how they actually hand these out besides the assumed geographical assumption.

I never do the surveys. Takes too long and I heard most of the time you don't get the gem rewards..

I spent alot on the Dark Prince Chest. I would say it's not worth it until they update the chance system. I always get the 2 stars one. Never the 3 star ones or higher :(

Now, I'm just investing the gems in to upgrading my battle fields :)

Nope, but you'll need the gold. Once you start doing legendaries/epics, you can say goodbye to your gold stash :(.

They increase your gold production quite a bit. No building produces gems.

it happens, connection drop, lagg, inpatience, apple error etc etc.
many things could have coused it, just make a ticket to gree wait 1-2 weeks and get ur gems afterwards.

As the title mentioned, how do you get your gems? I do the video offers when I get them. I'm hesitant to do the surveys. I'm also don't really want to purchase gems but the 20% is tempting. But then I read the threads about the dpc not giving good loot. I'm just curious to see what everyone else does.

I get mine from arena arena quest sliver n gold keys and some video offers I won't spend money on gems anymore spent 200 bought to chest with the 40 in it got all 2 stars of the same armor lol then other got only half my chest even though I had 70 spots open n gree did nothing bout it so won't waste gems on chest anymore
