View Full Version : 133 chests = Combustion Regular

For my tier of player this couldn't be more useless.

Fusing 2 maxed normal armors into the + version makes so much sense. It would make people like me, who after 133 Indi Chests got 2 ****. Tempered (which I already have 70/70 +) & Combustion regular, buy more chests. If knew I could get a second combustion regular to eventually get the +, this would hugely boost Chest sales, not only for getting that second norm, but then having to max out the 3 armors.

Vote yes to see this instilled.

I'm still sitting on 1000 gems & very wary of using them.

You should be more wary of a global economic collapse. & when that happens a few #s on a computer screen will be the least of our problems.

That would totally make sense, as well as giving fusion a new reason to exist.

Yes as ofc, i dont see a drawback on this, even on revenues

The exclusivity of DPC only items is removed if this happens. It's a great idea but the point of using gems is to get ahead/have an advantage over everyone else. If this happened who is to stop players getting + versions by fusing armors? So far the only DPC armor I haven't seen anyone fuse successfully is aegis and ww.

I'd prefer if after you max that particular armor you would then start to only receive +versions of it from dpc. This would result to the same things as eunuchorn mentioned. You would still need to open more DPC for that 2nd armor.

No i don't spend cash on this game, and hell yes i'd want to get + versions of these newer armors, but by doing this it's gonna be another slap in the face to people that are actually spending tons of money chasing for such armors. Just look at the bkal+ I know of someone that have spent thousands on this and never got one, now it's available to everyone. Guess how that dude felt when he found out about it.

With this DPC items remains exclusive.

How about implementing an item that allows you to craft two similar armors into 1 plus version? So say I have two Sky Guardian regulars, which are only somewhat useful. By adding a new item to DPC's that works as a reagant for fusion combines, now I can craft my two Sky Guardians into on Sky Guardian+ version. Then, if a player gets two regular versions through crafting, they can spend gems to attempt to make the upgraded version.

These reagents for fusion could also be a reward for guild contributions, boss rewards, arena rewards, etc. Another reagent could allow for something like a 10% increased chance to fuse a legendary armor, earning a second set of armor through fusion, or even fusing nemesis armor.

Just a few ideas I've thought about while reading forum posts. New mechanics are always fun, right?

@Raistmar

My idea would generate far more revenue for them, if I could get any **** to 70 & then be guaranteed the + version, that limits my purchasing. If I get Combustion reg, now I need to get that to 70, get a 2nd one to 70, them get my + to 70. If I want to do that in any kind of reasonable time, I need to buy chests.

I'm having another issue. I have 325 armors right now. So I won't be able to craft the + versions of Dragon armor unless I waste getting them to 70

yes.. please.. enough of the reg versions

I think it sounds like a good idea. Anything, really, to mitigate the horrific cost of this game given the low odds of drops. Having to spend a few thousand dollars for each new armor really needs to be addressed in some fashion. This idea would certainly help in that regard.

I am not so sure on this either. I think only a handful of players will spend the kind of money where they never have to craft. Most will open 11 chests a week at most. For the top spenders, the current situation doesn't seem to be impeding you from still spending thousands of gems. The average player who opens a few chest here and there isn't going to all of a sudden open 133 chests for this so the solution as I see it only affects a very small population of players.

If I knew that I could upgrade my Combustion or Tempered to + versions by getting a second and leveling both up, yeah, I'd end up spending more. Even if I fused to get the second copies, I'd still be buying chests for enhancement fodder - maxing three 70s for one set of armor would take too much patience. I'd be worried about it becoming obsolete before I finished!

Hmm...why do u think Gree hasn't done it yet? They probably don't see the benefits the way u or some players do. ^^ Until such time they implement it, I don't see it coming anytime soon. This is aside from me trolling in the forum of course, LOL!!!

Good point. I still think it effects a very small populations. Remember the forum populations is a very small representation of the entire playing population. I have no doubt that Gree will run a limited time special for this which might get a gem spending boost but they may not make it permanent. The best way to get people to spend is to run limited time specials and let the effects run its course before moving to the next one. Time limited marketing technique is used in every industry and has been working for thousands of years. You may all get your wish for limited time plus armor offer.

No way, man. That just takes the fun away and makes the game 10 times easier than what it is now. Oh man, got 2 Kal armors? Welp, better do that and craft the + version. No, the + versions are meant to be found in chests, not by getting 2 of the same type and crafting them together.

Dude I'm up for your idea. Just saying unless they make all the newer legendary un-fusable then anyone can get them. And yeah now that you mention it, my suggestion would indeed cut their revenue.

Sir.
07-08-2013, 02:14 PM
Yes.

As for this only effecting small populations: it's the best few armors in the game, I think it only should be available to a small population. You don't want to see everyone walking around in aegis+, combustion+, guardian+, etc.
