Just curious as to what types of music you guys are into and what bands/artists you prefer. i find it great when i discover new bands that aren't very known and this seems like a reasonable place to post :')

I'm a big Queens of the Stone Age fan, Them Crooked Vultures. Another person I enjoy is Lindsey Stirling. It is different but good, helps me fall asleep. Youtube link here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVw8RxNvnxU&feature=c4-overview&list=UUwgURKfUA7e0Z7_qE3TvBFQ).
Mainly I am into rock.

The Gaslight Anthem
The Horrible Crowes
^ Brian Fallon is the front man, and he is amazing solo. Like a new age Bruce Springsteen, who is also amazing.

Foo Fighters - Dave Grohl is a GOD! Best thing to ever happen was Kurt Cobain ending it haha, I can't stand Nirvana.

Default - not really that well known I've found, but check out their songs called Faded and One Late Night

Pearl Jam
Dire Straits
City And Colour aka Dallas Green

Plenty more but check them out first and let me know what you think :)

I'm into everything but especially female singers with angelic voices.

I just recently stumbled across an artist by the name of Kalsey Kulyk. She's an unknown right now, but her songs are awesome and she's gonna hit it big once people take notice.

Only place you can hear her at the moment is http://www.reverbnation.com/kalseykulyk

Check her out, when she wins a grammy you can say you heard it here first :)

I prefer dubstep and techno because of the unique instruments used to make these sounds! Daft Punk ftw!

I'm a huge spotify user personally so I listen to anything and everything I can get my hands on. I really wish they had more of the Yoshida(sp?) Brothers on Spotify though. OH. And the Beetles. That would make my year. :)

electronica and classical, mainly--streaming for the most part, but I do listen to archived music. Dead Can Dance and the like can be nice, too.

Anyone ever listen to any Against Me! It's punk/metal and they have some great songs but what makes the band really interesting is that the guy who started the band (also the lead singer) was a pretty manly, good looking guy who sang his ass off. It was awesome. And then a couple years ago he comes out and says he is going to start living as a female, changes his name, and starts to wear makeup and dress like a girl.

I like a lot of stuff, but it's prolly "too soft" or "too popular" for this crowd: Peter Gabriel, Rush, a few very old Suzanne Vega songs (not the popular ones!), Joni Mitchell, and yet there was a time I REALLY loved Pantera (Vinnie Paul!!!) and a couple of harder influences. What can I say? I'm a girl... ;)

I am FURIOUS that the RahXephon Euphoria AMV has been wiped from YouTube. The damn thing won awards!!

Frou Frou's Let Go is a good song, but it was a GREAT video!!

I listen to everything with a heavy preference for metal and alt rock but here are a few of my faves that I think you'll enjoy:

Ani DiFranco (Esp, listen to 32 Flavors)
Rilo Kiley
Regina Spektor

and the newest voice I fell in love with is Madilyn Bailey, her covers are beautiful!

http://youtu.be/PGoCtJzPHkU

Newest rock obsession is Issues, former singer for Woe is Me...

The whole album is amazing<3
