Epic Boss Question

Hey guys. Just a quick question. What happens on the epic boss quest if I was to start at say tier 2 but I level up during the event into tier 3? It would seem obvious that I start fighting the tier 3 boss. Is this right?

If you start at Tier 2 and level up, you stay at Tier 2 for that event.

If your level 49(tier 2) then you Level up and your level up become lv50 or 51 (tier 3) you will stay in Tier 2 Bosses
