LE units vs 3 Crates

This LE set cost 1,255 gold to get the rare. Chances to get the rare is 10% a least 3 to 5 tries for me to get lucky back in the days.

Resupply Crates = buying 3 Crates cost 250 gold = rare has 10% chance while buying 1 Crate cost 90 gold = rare has 5% chance.

Crates i think is more affordable to get the rare than LE units. You can try at least 3 times on 3 crates for 750 gold & get the Jackpot rare unit for less than the LE price. What do you guys think? You decided for your buck. Choose wisely people & Good Luck on getting the rare..!!

I bought a crate before and got a common I was annoyed 3 days later bought a crate received rare was happy I'd go with crates they are cheaper and more affordable though weaker but who cares

There's always another alternative, save your gold and spend it on:

1. WD events - these will give you the best stats boost, for 5 vaults you can get into a Top 10 yielding better units (the top 10 prize alone is usually 7k+ stats) and better boosts.

2. Beat the boss - save a little gold for boss 50, the new challenge.

3. 2-piece LE sets - I would be very surprised if anyone is still buying 4-piece LEs when you can get the same "prize" units for considerably less gold with a 2-piece. The only reason that I can see for buying a 4-piece LE is if Gree decide to tweak the odds on them to make the rare or uncommon units drop more than with a 2-piece.

4. Tournament of Factions - with under a half a vault of gold you should be able to get into the Top 1000.

Personally, I refuse to spend gold on anything that doesn't give me a boost unit - except on the ToF (as it's for the team, not just me) and a little on the last boss if needed.

Problem with the crates is that once you reach a certain attack/defense level, you're pretty much wasting gold unless you get the nicer units. In other words, the commons won't even be in the top 2000 units you bring to battle. But for the vast majority it is a better buy. Sillybeans did a great post about this awhile back, he broke down all the math to it as well.

Crates are the better buy. I don't spend money now, but I have bought a few triple crates in the past and I always got the low rare. I never could bring myself to buy the LE set, it is prohibitively expensive.

I played the 3 crate in the middle of Poland WD. I wanted to buy the LE set but it was already over. Had 2 rare n an uncommon. Very lucky i guess. One was a ground tank, the other was called black ops.

For players with long-term objectives LE sets are the way to go: most of my old crate items don't even see action at this point. Of course, most big players wait for the 2 LE sets and only buy for the big unit.

If you are on a budget buy the 2 LE sets over crates. If you are on a budget and are inpatient go for the crates.

in fact, for 750 gold, its better to go and buy special units...
they cost about to 650 gold and always 600/500 and you dont have chance to win because you are buying it

if I would have 1500 gold, I woul spent in some FvF or some LTQ or beat the boss... Its the best choice

I have quit buying crates, I save for the LE pair or a case event.
