Some of those look right, except that the prize for completing normal was the Silent Justice gun, which is something like 400/500. Prizes continue improving into the Elite Mode, though.

Yet another LTQ in which anything with very high stats is only in elite mode...at the least they could throw in a high stat prize for the last level of normal mode.

Really? A 400/500 is not enough to help your stats out, eh? You need another 2k/2k item, because those five 400/400 don't help you at all?

I prefer the current distribution of prizes. Right away you get decent items, as opposed to being forced to plow through a bunch of LTQ levels before you start getting items that actually do make a dent in a high-stat players' stats. Plus, since the items continue to get better as you progress to the Elite mode (Elite 1 item > Normal 25 item), you can easily squeeze out a few more good items for relatively little energy. That means that if you are close to finishing Normal mode, it's worth spending a small amount of gold to complete, and you can just continue as far as you can in the beginning of the Elite mode for free and earn good items-- Level 1 and Level 2 of the Elite are 550/450 and 630/420 while only costing an additional ~250 energy. In previous LTQs that gave a good item for completing the normal mode, you started off the Elite mode with prizes that were actually worse than the ones for the same jobs in the Normal mode. Thus if you finished the Normal mode close to the end of the event, you were better off stopping there.

The prize distribution is much better, and it encourages players to go as far in the LTQ as they can, as opposed to some arbitrary distance for a given item.

Edit: it's also much easier to evaluate whether it's worth your time/gold to continue on in the LTQ, since you always know that the next item will be a little bit better than the last. I mean, with nice forum members who steamroll through the LTQs for you and post the jobs and rewards before you get to them (cough) that might be unnecessary, but it's a lot easier when you're faced with a decision like "I just got a 400/500 item for completing Normal 25, do I want to continue? The jobs are __ for 100 energy (and __ XP if you're a camper), and I'll get a better item than the last? Yes, I'll continue. Nice, a 500/500 item. Okay, now Elite 2 is 150 energy and the next prize will be at least 500/500..." whereas before your decision was more along the lines of "Okay, I just got the Hitman's Shotgun for 2k/2k. Do I want to continue? Elite 1 is 150 energy, okay, I 'll do it. Oh, a 75/75 vehicle. Alright. Do I want to do Elite 2? Will I want to do Elite 3-30, and at what point will the items start making up for the gold/time I'm spending on the Elite mode when have no idea if or when the prizes get better." I prefer the way it currently is, because I know the approximate item stats that I'm about to get, and I have a good idea of how willing I am to pay for an item. Like in the last LTQ, do I want to spend ~200 gold for 10k energy to get this 400/400 item? Probably not.

Hey, those items certainly help, but are you saying you'd prefer an LTQ in which normal ends with 400/400 items, or one that ends in 1000/1000 items, like the first one did? Giving better items to free/cheaper players? Or does normal not matter to you, since you just spend $200-300 to waltz through the entire event?

My point is that they are equivalent, unless you have really, really high FC-esque stats. Except that having better items at each progressive level is actually better for a free player, because you can continue to get 500/500+ or better items for a very minimal amount of energy (time or gold) upon completing the normal mode. If you finish the normal event for free late in the event your best course of action was probably to stop if you are at all concerned about XP in the slightest. I would have to look up the exact items/energy cost, but I feel safe concluding that this event's prize scheme is better for both free and light gold players.

That said, how difficult is it to finish the normal mode for a free player? Have you finished all the normal modes? I would expect it's always "possible" to complete normal for free, but I have almost all of my maps pre-hit by now.

As long as you prehit no one should have a probleming doing normal

Ok, I see what you mean, but the first LTQ still gave better stats because of the very high stat items near the end of normal. And no offense, but I guess you haven't paid attention...normal is never completable for free. I play constantly, and always manage to get a level up during the LTQ's, but never make it to the end, even with some prehitting. I know one person did calculate for an LTQ if a free player could finish (think it was billionaire? Sorry if I'm wrong!), but the answer was a definite no.

ERM I'm already almost finished with normal and still have 4 days left and that is with missing or gree resetting some of my prehits.

I'm only a couple levels behind you I think...but don't forget the massive energy cost for the last few levels. I'm probably going to be one or two levels short.

The first LTQ (the scavenger hunt one, for the Hitman's Ride) was different. It was one of the best (if not the best) LTQs with disproportionately good items relative to most of the recent ones. Same with the second LTQ (Double Dragons?). I think after this point, GREE realized they were giving out too much stats for too little gold, and made them a lot worse. Current LTQ seems pretty good though.

I don't know that they're "never completable for free"-- because I've almost always prehit all of my jobs and most certainly could finish the normal mode for free if I wanted.

On that note, does anyone know the name of the last LTQ? I wanted to find the topic that had the list of jobs/energy, but I can't remember what it was called. The Scorched Earth Chopper one.

Yea I got the double dragon one, the ltq right after that was good too. After that it was a fast drop.
