Upgrade multiple buildings at once?

So, I just did the update for Crime City (on iOS) and as well as the Syndicate vs Syndicate one of the other new features (i'm 99% sure) was being able to upgrade multiple buildings at once. Having tried I still get the message that only one building can be upgraded at a time. Did anyone else notice this whilst updating or am I missing something here?

You first need to get the item with the bonus that alllows to do this.
