I'm excited for the 30% less crafting time :p. How often do these types of events occur anyways?

You're right!!! I forgot to mention that.
Nice question I would like to know that too.

Not to sound all conspiracy theory, but I'm getting way more mystic cloths than normal. I'd be more excited if the feathers dropped for me at the typical rate.

I'm trying not to level up any more so burning through here for mystics isn't really worth it. Oh well, at least it was a nice change of scenery from The Skeleton's Tomb.

Ditto, I started crafting my Pyromancer+ (36 hours to craft, pah!) only a couple of hours before this event kicked in. Instead of a bonus it feels like a penalty for being too quick. They need a button so you can cancel a crafting at any time and get your materials back.

I've been playing about 8 weeks (judging from 8 epic bosses and 8 tournaments seen) and this is the second such crafting time reduction event, so about once a month seems likely.

What do you normally get from the drops? It doesn't seem like 2x drop to me. I got 2 phoenix feathers, but im still getting one fire or spirit shard. Am I missing something? Hasn't it always been two feathers?

Needs a 2x Kingdom of Darkness event. ;_;

Not a great idea... Would be unfair for lower level players. =/

Not so sure why this would prioritise feather farming over snakeskin farming..

Snakeskin requires 8 mat pieces and costs 3k to craft.
Living flame requires 12 pieces and costs 15k to craft.

With the 2x event you'd need to clear 3 bosses assuming no mystic cloth drop to craft a living flame but you'd need to clear 4 bosses assuming no stone slab to craft the snakeskin. Though you save one trip, wouldn't you be able to get less trips overall since the monsters at blazing tides are much stronger and you'd also spend a lot more on crafting costs?

How are people capitalising on these events? Would really like to know!

I preferred 2x material at Cold Rock Crags and Faerie Forest. Use basics to enhance mono to lvl 11, and its as good as a non-matching snakeskin. A little more expensive, but less farming/crafting time. I just get so bored farming snakeskin.

And a 2x Blazing Tides event is unfair to players that haven't reached that area yet...

In response to Vubby, I'm not really interested in 2x Blazing Tides. I have reached the Dark Prince quest, so the only material I am still trying to collect for a quest is Evil Jewels. When Prinny fails to drop jewels he drops the same feathers I'd get in Blazing Tides, so I have more than enough of them. The only people this event really helps are the ones trying to complete quests in this area.

Apart from Evil Jewels, I've stopped collecting the higher level materials, and use my special attack before the boss dies so they drop basic shards. For now I'm only deliberately collecting snakeskins, uncommon and basic materials. The rest just mess up my armorsmith page. Maybe I'll want to collect rare materials again later for fuzing, but right now fuzing seems like a really poor option for gaining good armors, and I need to level up several *** and **** armors, so the last thing I need is more rare armors to craft.

The 30% faster armorsmithing is useful, as everyone needs to constantly make armor. I just wish I'd known it was coming before I started on the 3 day crafting of Pyromancer. At least I can use it to help on the Wanderer's Shroud - timing the start to take the greatest advantage. I assume what happens is it takes 30% off the clock when you start the smithing, so once it's running the clock won't reset when the event ends. If it does, oh well.

I do like that this is a 'freebie', i.e. you don't need to be spending gems or real money to benefit from the event.
