upgrades question/help

I just started upgrading my Airship Hanger and noticed that my attack and defense fell by about 12k. I also finished a lvl in mission after that which made me notice the drop.
When upgrading a boost building do we lose all points i that area (air in this case) whilst building is being upgraded?
i was quite happy with over 42k att for lvl 41 but now at just over 30k I feel weak & feeble

Oh bugger. I really was hoping it was normal. I fear the "ticket"

Weeeeeeeeeeeee just went to profile to get my code for ticket and amazingly (after 15 mins or so) i'm back at 42432 att.

I can handle a small glitch like that but not often :p
