What is a "ticket"?

I accidentally used gold to speed up a land expansion which is a waste. I always hear people telling others to write an in-game ticket and they will fix it up for you. I have previously contacted support but nothing ever gets done, one time when I got 5 valor in scratchy I just never got the 25,000 valor and that was that they never done anything. But a ticket seems to work for everyone else so WTF is a ticket?

It's exactly what you did before, contacting support from the in-game menu. That's what most people all "sending in a ticket".

However, the fact that tickets work whereas contacting support doesn't is an illusion. In fact, both (considering they're one and the same thing) rarely work, depending on the problem, due to understaffing/lack of care. It usually takes north of two weeks to get a reply and in 90% of the cases it's the usual standard reply that the ticket has been closed and to contact them again if the problem persists.
