What was that all about ?

That was for the faction tournament to see which factions could bring in the most battle points in a 3 day period. The higher the faction rank, the better units won.

And how do I know if I won or not ?

Clicking on the Icon would bring you to the screen where you could see the factions and their rankings.

If your faction or yourself had won a prize, you would have seen a splash screen similar to the one after winning a war in WD
